STYLE & SUBSTANCEAtlanta Magazine’s HOME
captures life in the capital of the South. After covering this city for more than half a century, no one
understands it like we do.
Atlanta is a thriving urban center rooted in the traditions, handcrafts, beauty, diversity, hospitality, and rich culture of our region. This magazine isn’t just another book about decorating—although we’re all about pretty spaces. It’s about celebrating a sense of place, savoring the finer things in life, and creating homes that inspire and comfort us every day. Atlanta Magazine’s HOME delivers sophisticated, meticulously curated home design four times
per year as a standalone publication.

Interior designer Lindsey Hene combined jewel tones, from amethyst to citron, in the dining room. Homeowner Kirk
Milling chose the blue marbleized wallpaper that evokes Van Gogh’s Starry Night. Large pendants from Circa Light-
ing get the scale right but don’t obscure other elements. Wall tile in the adjacent bar area is from Walker Zanger.

Sandy Springs is a city of around 101,000 just north of the Atlanta perimeter. The first home in Sandy Springs was built in 1842. The city was the subject of many ref-erendums, legislative bills, and discussions about whether it should be incorporated or annexed into Atlanta. In 2005, the city voted to incorporate, and the first mayor and city council members were elected that year.
Irene Clary was named the Number One Residential Agent Company-wide in 2012 and in 2016. She was named the Top Office Agent 2011 through 2017. Irene uses her real estate knowledge with the support of the largest real estate company in Georgia, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers, to offer her clients every-thing they need—real estate, mortgage, insurance, and closing services.

HOME FASHION INTERIORS
Clean and ContemporaryThe holiday season has arrived, and it’s time for new dining room, bedroom, and entryway furniture. Currently trending is a sleeker, cleaner transition to contempo-rary. The dining room pictured is an exquisite example of this style, with clean, harp-shaped bases and the thick, almost-monolith top, which appears to float up from the floor. The dining chairs are comfortable and durable for entertaining guests.
Another current trend this season is a light, traditional update when redecorating your home. The new Veranda-licensed collection bedroom has cleaner lines, a beautiful finish, and excellent craftsmanship. The style is distinctly traditional but not terribly heavy. This collection is available in dining room and occasional also.
The first thing you see in a home is the entryway or a special wall in a dining room or living room. This contemporary console with agate doors and the large transitional mirror and accessory are paired with wonderful lamps and a gorgeous agate chandelier. The agate stones provide beautiful shades of colors to coordinate your rugs, wall colors, and other fabrics. Why should coming home be anything less than spectacular?
