and, therefore, may not be raised in opposition to the schedule
of Illinois racetracks.
Please request a Stakes Booklet from the racetrack or confer
with individual fair management as the only authority.
The Illinois Department of Agriculture requires that all
Standardbred foals be duly certified with the Bureau of Horse
Racing to participate in the Illinois Standardbred Breeders Fund
program. A certificate is issued to the owner of the foal at the
time of Illinois registration and is passed on from owner to
owner; this certificate must be transferred into the new owner’s
name as soon as possible after purchase.
