Parking Information
Finding a parking place on the Auburn campus is extremely
difficult, even during a normal week. Though we enjoy having guests
on campus, parking is an even greater challenge during special
events such as the honor band. Though it is out of our control, we
do apologize for this inconvenience and hope that you will observe
the following parking procedures. THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 6th - STUDENT
DROP-OFF/ REGISTRATION • When you arrive at the Goodwin Music
Building, drop off Honor Band Festival participants, along with
their
instruments, in front of the building on Samford Avenue. • The
driver should then continue west on Samford Avenue and turn Right
on Duncan Dr. to park in the 4th level
of the Stadium parking deck. • Individuals requiring additional
assistance traveling from the parking deck to Goodwin Hall please
notify Elijah
Clark ([email protected]) If you receive a ticket for parking
on campus without a permit, we cannot have it excused. If you park
illegally, there is a possibility your car will be towed! FRIDAY,
FEBRUARY 7th - REHEARSAL DROP-OFF AND PARKING Auburn Junior High
School (APAC) - Tiger & Eagle Band Rehearsals Specific details
regarding student drop off and pick up at the Auburn Junior High
School will be forthcoming. Parking will not be available during
the school day due to AJHS Faculty and buses. The Tiger Band will
rehearse in the auditorium, and the Eagle Band will rehearse in the
band room. No students should be left or plan to stay at the Junior
High during lunch. Goodwin Music Building –Symphonic Band &
Wind Ensemble Rehearsals Parking on campus is extremely limited.
Students can be dropped off in front of Goodwin Music Building on
Samford Avenue. Parent attendance is not required at rehearsal. If
you would like to attend rehearsal and attempt to park on campus,
continue west on Samford Avenue and turn right on Duncan Drive to
park in visitor parking on the 4th level of the stadium deck. You
will receive a permit from the attendant in the kiosk at the ramp
to the fourth level. Again, if you are ticketed for parking on
campus without a permit, we cannot have it excused. If you park
illegally, there is a possibility your car will be towed! The
Symphonic Band will rehearse in the OLD Band Hall Room 124 and the
Wind Ensemble will rehearse in the NEW Band Hall Room 150. HOST
CONCERT (Gogue Performing Arts Center) – Auburn University
Symphonic Wind Ensemble will perform a host concert beginning at
7:30pm in the Gogue Performing Arts Center (GPAC). All honor band
participants MUST attend. An informational meeting will be held for
students in the lobby of the GPAC at 6:30, students should plan to
arrive by 6:15 so that attendance may be taken for each band. The
GPAC is located approximately one and a half miles from Goodwin
Music Building. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 9th - Gogue Performing Arts
Center - Final Performance
The Gogue Performing Arts Center is located between South
College Street and Donahue Drive on Woodfield Drive, approximately
half a mile from Goodwin Music Building. Please park anywhere on
the North side of Woodfield Drive, refer to the enclosed map. Our
staff will be happy to answer any parking questions that you have
during the event!
