Crew Chief’s ReportsBy Rob Kingdom
1. Mark and Dave fixed the diaphone/offset regulator, set pressure to 15"
2. Andrew connected ground wires to Diaphone and Diapason offsets
3. Regulated and rough tuned Diaphones. Most are ei-ther dead on or easily tuned with tuning slides. GGG# is loud and buzzes probably because tuning slide is loose.
4. DDD# of the Diaphone doesn't speak because the regulation slide at the toe of the resonator is all the way in. It faces the wall so it may be difficult to extract it.

Martin Ellis' initial exposure to the theatre organ occurred at the Para-mount Music Palace in Indianapolis when he was 7 years old. During his senior year, he served as the weekend artist at Milwaukee's Piper Music Palace, as an alternate organist at the Pipes and Pizza in Lansing, Illinois, and performed concerts in and around the Chicago area. Martin is now an active featured theatre organist for ATOS and has been a regular theatre organ soloist in both the Chicago and Indianapolis ar-eas for the last twenty years. After his move to Portland, Theatre Organ came into play again as he served as an associate organist at Uncle Milt's Pipe Organ Pizza in Vancouver, Wash-ington. He has appeared on the Ohio Theatre's summer movie series for several years. He has been a featured artist at conventions of The American Guild of Organists, The Organ Histori-cal Society, and The American Theatre Organ Society.
