Logtainer business is container transport in itaLy
The company was established early in 1997.During these years Logtainer grew at a considerable pace to become the single largest customer of Italian railways.In 2019 Logtainer turnover was about 77 million ( EUR ).
Logtainer business is container transport in Italy.This means transports by truck, by rail and by intermodal service.Logtainer customers are Shipping Lines and Logtainer mission is to provide them the most efficient and favourable links to and from the main Italian cities/ports.
To achieve this objective Logtainer is located in the ports, with an Head Office in Genova and branch office in La Spezia.
Logtainer branch offices are also located in the inland terminals of Pioltello ( Milano area ), Rubiera ( Emilia area ), Padova and Bologna where is necessary to be present to organize intermodal service.
The services offered by Logtainer are supported by modern computer systems, in the belief that offering the proper interface to Customers systems requirements is a very important part of our business.

road serViCe Arrangement
A modern fleet of about 400 trucks is available to meet customers needs throughout Italy, including the transportation of dangerous cargo, temperature controlled cargo, secure transportation for high value goods and transport of waste.

Logtainer is able to operate by rail both in Italy and internationally.
As you can see in next pages the Logtainer rail links between ports and inland terminals offer to Logtainer Customers a unique network in terms of the total number of ports served and the frequency of the service.
This type of service is based on a commitment with Trenitalia to have on fixed days for all the year our trains guaranteed on round trip basis:

Logtainer is also able to dispatch full and empty containers linking any rail station or inland depot in Italy.

Logtainer terminals are:
- M.G.M. located at Limito di Pioltello ( Milano area ) - Terminal Rubiera ( located in tiles area ) - Padova Interporto - Bologna Interporto
From year 2001, Logtainer is shareholder of Terminal Rubiera.During last years Terminal Rubiera went on its investment policy directed to improve the operative performance of the terminal.
All these terminals are able to meet lines needs of maintenance andrepair service.
eLeCtroniC data interChanGe ( edi )Logtainer’s systems installation and staff expertise enables the company to provide a full range of system services from booking to trucking and reporting.
Both in terminal and transportation activity our commitment is to ensure the proper interface with Customers system requirements.
EDI is available for Gate IN, Gate OUT, M&R activity, bookings, transport details using EDIFACT standards or customized partner requirements.
