Class Selection Process✓ Enter your selections in Skyward Student Access.

✓ All selections must be entered by January 31, 2020.

✓ Use the online . ✓ Graduation and College Requirements ✓ Four Year Plan ✓ Course Descriptions – check prerequisites✓ Course Applications

✓ Meet with your counselor to turn in your verification form and review selections. Counselor meetings will begin in February. You will be assigned a time during your English class. Please write your SSS appointment on your form.

Junior Requirements• Junior Language & Composition or AP English

Language & Composition – 1 year. ✓ Freshman and Sophomore English must be completed.

• US History or AP US History - 1 year.

• P.E., unless you have passed PE Proficiency Test or participate on a designated HCHS Interscholastic team and turn in the completed Athletic Waiver form by the due date.

• Athletic Waiver due January 31, 2020 in the SSS Office. LATE WAIVERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Class Updates

✓ Introduction to Journalism is now available for grades 9, 10, 11 and 12.

✓ Introduction to Manufacturing is the prerequisite for the following:✓ Introduction to Construction✓ Cabinetry and Millwork I (new course replacing

Production Technology) ✓ Machining Fundamentals (new course)

1st Hour Information• Students with a 7 class schedule must choose

PE/Health/Driver Education 1st hour

• Students who are taking CIMS, Auto II, EDD or Work Study will need to take this class 1st hour and may elect a 6 or 7 class schedule. PE/Health/Driver Ed must be included with a 7 class schedule.

• Early bird bus transportation is available. Please check routes for convenience.

• 1st hour classes are subject to availability.7

Skyward Student Access Instructions

Log into your Skyward account.Click on the Schedule tab on the left side of the screen.Click on the upper right corner of the screen to View Course Requests.The left side of the screen will show courses available to select. The right side will show courses which have been recommended for you. To make your selections you can scroll through the courses or type in the course number or course name.Highlight the course you want to add and click on the Add Course button.
