Parish Residence Rental:
It has been decided that the residence next door to our church should be rented rather thanremain vacant until a new permanent pastor is appointed to St Basils This is being done forseveral reasons with the most important one being a source of revenue to help offset our on-going deficit. The lease rental could be for anywhere from six months to a year, with an optionfor possible renewal.
We would first like to offer this to our parishioners and/or their extended families. The rentalamount is still to be determined and would be at fair market value. After a certain time if there isno interest from our parishioners we will offer this to the general public. If you are interested ormay know someone who might be interested please contact the parish office at 204 837-4180.

Attention Parisioners
We need a baby to 'play' the part of baby Jesus in the parish Christmas pageant Sunday,
December 18th. Male or female. No experience needed. Just be tiny enough for our 'Mary' to
hold. If you know of someone with a little one, just waiting for their big theatre break, please
contact Wanda Prychitko at 204-889-4351 or [email protected].
Please and Thank you for Supporting the following:
Winter Clothing Drive
Many thanks for the generous donations of clothing and winter wear. These bags have
been delivered to Siloam Mission, and will certainly make winter a little more bearable
for many families in need. Please continue to drop off your donations at the back of
the church throughout the year.

Christmas Gift Shoeboxes.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. With the many donations received, our parish
assembled 15 Christmas gift shoeboxes, which have been bussed to Calgary, and
will be flown to Ukraine to make Christmas a little merrier for 15 children. Each
shoebox also contains a special Christmas blessing from our parish. Thanks also to
the St. Basil's UCWLC for their continued support in donating $7 per shoebox, which
aids in the shipping and also supports religious education for the children receiving
these gifts of love across the miles.

This Christmas Season you can help provide comfort and joy
by making a gift to the
Holy Family Home – Festival of Lights Campaign
Being a faith-filled place is an essential feature of why many choose to come live at Holy
Family Home. In addition to caring for the physical and emotional needs of residents, Holy
Family Home emphasizes the importance of nurturing their spiritual needs. With the support
of Spiritual Care and many community volunteers, residents and their families participate in
regular chapel services. Many find comfort, peace and a place of familiarity in the Chapel.
Over the years, Holy Family Home has been able to maintain the Chapel, largely because of
the support of generous donors. However, the Chapel is beginning to show signs of its age,
and requires significant renovations. A plan is in place to revitalize the Chapel, which can only
become a reality with the continued support of the community.
For more information about the importance and impact your gift can make especially for the
residents, pick up a Festival of Lights envelope at the back of the church or visit
www.holyfamilyhome.mb.ca.
