Tetra Engineering has partnered with turbine experts TG Advisers Inc., and
Fluidised Bed Boiler expert Prof. B. Leckner (Chalmers University of
Technology, Sweden) to deliver a comprehensive course set, targeted at O&M
engineers with critical technical responsibilities. The programme will run as

NB: Tracks are not restrictive. It is possible to take any combination of
course blocks from either track.
Included in the Combine Cycle Track are:
• HRSG Design and Operations (2 days) – Learn about the fundamentals
of HRSG Design, and effective strategies for operations. Tetra Engineering
• Steam Turbines & Generator (2 days) – Failure Modes, Troubleshooting
and Industry Proven Repair Methods, delivered by TG Advisers.
• Gas Turbines (1 day) – Failure Modes, Troubleshooting and Condition
Based Maintenance, delivered by TG Advisers
Included in the Steam Cycle Track are:
• Circulating Fluidised Bed Boilers (2 days) – Learn about critical design
concepts, performance analysis and maintenance practices. Delivered by
Prof. Leckner, Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden.
• Managing Pressure Part Integrity (1 day) – A focus on the damage
mechanisms in pressure parts and the strategies for managing them. Tetra
Engineering.
• Failure Root Cause Analysis in the Boiler (1 day) – Leveraging the
engineer’s toolkit to get to the bottom of failures. Tetra Engineering.
• Turbine Vibration (1 day) – Lateral & Torsional Vibration session with
case studies of failures and prevention strategies – TG Advisers.

Pricing:
• Course costs are 700€ per person per day.
• A Track (or five days of courses) can be booked at 2800€ per person, giving a
20% discount.
• Equivalent discount (20%) applies to any company making a booking for five
or more course-days (any number of participants, any combination of courses)
– non-cumulative with Track Discount.
• Additional Early-Bird Discount of 15% applies on paid bookings made before
28 February.
Location:
Courses will be held at the Omega Hotel, Sophia Antipolis. Sophia Antipolis is a
business and technology park in the forested hills between Nice and Cannes.
Tourist opportunities will be made available for interested participants. On
Thursday 13th June, all participants will be invited for an evening dinner at a
restaurant specialising in local Provençal cuisine.
