1) Life Skills Experience. Kids 6 and olderregister for our core, multi-week Life SkillsExperience (LSE) classes. Class levels areprogressive, so those new to The First Teemust register at the PLAYer level regardless ofage or ability. The First Tee LSE program iscomprised of 5 levels: PLAYer, Par, Birdie,Eagle and Ace. Kids advance through thelevels as they complete proficiency testing inboth their golf and character skills and reachminimum age requirements. Participants areencouraged to continue through H.S.graduation. For teens at higher levels, TheFirst Tee offers a range of opportunities toearn scholarships, and participate inleadership & golf experiences.

Developed by leading educators and coaches around the country, The First Tee Life Skills Experience is an innovative, proven program that uses a platform of golf instruction to teach kids the important character-building life skills, core values and healthy habits they’ll need throughout their lives.

American Junior Golf Association
The mission of the Lancaster County Junior Golf Tour provides junior golfers of central Pennsylvania a tournament golf environment emphasizing competition, Rules of golf, golf culture, sportsmanship and participant behavior.
Lancaster County Junior Golf Tour
The Golf Association of Philadelphia conducts Junior events in the Philadelphia area and was founded in 1914 — the inaugural year of its Junior Boys' Championship U.S. Kids Golf Foundation
U.S. Kids Golf was started as a family business desiring to stay true to the mission and purpose of bringing kids into the game. Because providing the right equipment needed to be coupled with improved programs, coaching, and opportunity for competition, like other organized sports, the Foundation was started.
Golf Association of Philadelphia (GAP)
The AJGA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf.
The Philadelphia Section Junior Tour’s membership consists of junior golfers 18 years of age and younger. These young golfers represent all geographic areas of the Philadelphia Section. The Philadelphia Section PGA Junior Tour conducts over 90 events seasonally at top facilities.Tournaments vary from competitive, 1-day, 18 hole and 9 hole events along with 2-day, 36-hole events for nationally rankings by the Junior Golf Scoreboard and AJGA (PBE Status).

Callaway Golf Scholarship
Northeast Regional Challenge/Philly Invitational | July 14-16,2019
24 participants play a total of nine holes during each of the three days of competition. On Friday, the teams play in a scramble, followed by a modified alternate shot on Saturday and closing with a better ball format on Sunday. Final scoring is based off total points earned each day of the nine-hole format. Following play on Sunday, the winning chapter of The First Tee Champions Challenge will be announced during an award ceremony on 18 green at the Champions Tour Chubb Classic.
Golf To Paradise | Feb. 15 – 17, 2019Naples, Fl
The First Tee Caddie Academy teaches youth the necessary skills to become a caddie. You need a strong work ethic, exhibit The First Tee Core Values, and have transportation to get you to our golf course locations during the summer. The Philly Invitational (previously named
Northeast Regional Challenge) is in its 11th year and features participants from the Northeast regional First Tee Chapters.
First Tee Caddie Academy
Callaway Golf awards 20 participants a new set of Callaway Golf Clubs annually. Each participant submits a one page essay and must establish a GHIN handicap, and play 10 rounds.
The Thomas M. Hyndman Scholarship
TFT Philly Major Championships
In 2019, The First Tee of Greater Philadelphia will host 4 major tournaments for participants.
The Thomas M. Hyndman Scholarship is available annually to active TFTGP participants who have the interest and desire to become competitive golfers. Successful applicants receive a minimum of 8 hours of golf instruction during the summer by a Jack Connelly, PGA Professional, at North Hills Country Club in Oreland, Pa. Jack is a member of the PGA Hall of Fame.
Founded in 2011, PGA Junior League encompasses more than 42,000 participants around the country. Boys and girls of all backgrounds and skill levels learn and play together in a supportive, two person scramble format that encourages mentorship, builds confidence, and promotes sportsmanship. The Philadelphia section had 120 teams in 2018. Our chapter will have 3 teams in 2019!

COCA-COLA AMERICA’S FUTURE | AUG. 21-24
NATIONAL OPPORTUNITIESGOLF AND LEADERSHIP EVENTS
Coca-Cola Company offers five participants the chance to experience downtown Atlanta visiting the Coca-Cola Campus, attending new hire training, and taking part in interviews to determine the winner of a scholarship. Held in conjunction with The Tour Championship.
JOHN DEERE DRIVE YOUR FUTURE ACADEMY | JUNE 24-28
This all-girls event focuses on development, remaining active in the game of golf, learning the value/impact of volunteerism, and recognizing the importance of teamwork.
JOHN DEERE POWER FOR GOOD SCHOLARSHIP | JULY 7-11
Participants submit a written essay about how they are a "Power for Good" through service to their communities, schools, and neighborhoods. Three essay applicants will each receive a one time $5,000 college scholarship and a VIP experience at the John Deere Classic.
JOE LOUIS BARROW, JR. LIFE SKILLS & LEADERSHIP ACADEMY | JULY 24-30
Each summer, 96 participants from the chapter network are selected to attend the week-long academy. They participate in championship golf and life skill development, are challenged to lead others and explore college life including dorm living and creating a network of new friends.
PERFECT SENSE UNIFIED CHALLENGE | JUN. 23-27
The Perfect Sense Unified Challenge is a team event with junior golfers from The First Tee paired as teammates with wounded veterans and Special Olympics golfers from around the country.
PURE INSURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP IMPACTING THE FIRST TEE | SEPT. 24-30
An official PGA Tour Champions event at Pebble Beach Golf Links, the tournament pairs participants from The First Tee with a PGA Tour Champions player and amateurs. To be selected juniors are measure both in golf ability and life skills knowledge.
THE FIRST TEE NATIONAL PAR-3 CHAMPIONSHIP | TBD
This six-day event provides 32 participants the chance to compete in a 36-hole tournament to be crowned the Boys and Girls National Par 3 Champion. Participants also represent their territory as two co-ed teams, East and West, go head to head in a team match play format.
WELLS FARGO SUCCEEDING TOGETHER | APRIL 29-MAY 5
Teenage participants can compete through an essay contest for the opportunity to attend the Wells Fargo Championship in Wilmington, N.C. Four winners will be selected, with the grand prize winner receiving the opportunity to play in the pro-am with PGA player of their choice. Deadline: March 19

Drive, Chip & Putt 2020 Qualifying
The championship is open to boys and girls ages 7-15 and will begin with more than 310 free local qualifiers across the country starting May 2019. The National Finals will take place on April 5, 2020 at Augusta National Golf Club.
