He also helps existing Pearson VUE clients grow their programs, enhance customer satisfaction, and implement new testing services. A seasoned business development professional, Mr. Blackwood has spent the past 15 years engaging Fortune 1000 companies in search of high-quality, secure, and reliable assessment tools. His systems knowledge includes computer-based testing (CBT) and web- and paper-based data collection. Mr. Blackwood holds a Bachelor of Arts, Organizational Management, Concordia University, St. Paul, Saint Paul, Minnesota. Isabelle Gonthier, PhD; President & COO, Yardstick Assessment Strategies Dr. Gonthier leverages her years of experience in the credentialing and testing industry in providing strategic direction at Yardstick Assessment Strategies for all aspects of the business, including psychometrics, exam administration and operations, product development and implementation, business development, and research and development. Over the course of her career, Dr. Gonthier has managed the development and administration of large-scale licensure and certification examinations and assessment tools for various professions in the health, financial, and IT sectors. She is currently a psychometric commissioner and the Chair of the NCCA commission and is involved with the conference executive committee for the Association of Testing Publishers (ATP). James Henderson, PhD; Senior Vice President and Senior Psychometrician; Scantron James is senior psychometrician and senior vice president at Scantron. He has extensive experience in the design, analysis, and equating of a wide variety of high-stakes certification and licensure examinations. Terri Hinkley, EdD, MBA, BSN, RN; CEO, Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification Board President Elect, ABNS Terri was hired by the Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification Board (MSNCB) and the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN) in August 2017.Terri is a former senior clinical research operation professional with 21 years of clinical and industry experience, coupled with over 32 years in acute care nursing in the healthcare setting. She has six years of association management staff experience, having held executive positions in both individual membership associations and certification boards. She was a longtime volunteer leader and board member within her former association before moving into a staff role. Terri teaches in the graduate Clinical Research program at George Washington University and in an online continuing education nursing program in Toronto.Terri received her RN from Centennial College, BScN from York University, an Executive MBA from Athabasca University, and an Ed.D. in the Executive Leadership (ELP) Human and Organizational Learning (HOL) Program at the George Washington University. Marianne Horahan, MBA, MPH, BSN, RN, CPHQ, NEA-BC; President, Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification Serving on the ABSNC Board since 2014, Marianne Horahan has just moved into her new Board role as ABSNC President. She is currently Director of Certification Services at the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Marianne has operational accountability for all ANCC certification programs.

Prior to this position, she served as Senior Analyst for the Magnet Recognition Program. Marianne’s clinical background is hospice nursing. After graduate school she moved into healthcare quality, earning certification as a healthcare quality professional and working in the field of credentialing. She has been with the ANCC for more than fifteen years. She is a proud third-generation nurse! Mark Leveling, MSW, Psychometric Intern, Competency & Credentialing Institute Mark Leveling is a developing psychometrician currently undertaking doctoral graduate studies in research methods and statistics at the University of Denver where he researches dynamic measurement modeling through the lens of creativity in education. The same techniques have been instrumental to the process of improving the Perceived Value of Certification Tool in collaboration with CCI and Scantron. Before committing to his doctoral work, Mark had spent several years working in community mental health as a social worker and administrator. When outside of the lab, Mark enjoys camping trips with his fiancée and playing the drums. Rory McCorkle, PhD, MBA, CAE, PMP, SPHR, NPDP; Senior Vice President of Certification; PSI Online Rory is the Senior Vice President of Certification and Education Services for PSI. During his career, Rory has worked with over 750 testing organizations, including universities, licensing bodies, and certification programs. Previously, Rory served as the President of International Credentialing Associates (ICA), providing consulting for credentialing organizations. He also worked as the Career Resources Product Manager at IEEE, Product Manager of Credentials at the Project Management Institute (PMI), and Exam Developer at Prometric. Rory serves extensively throughout the testing community. His roles include Chairing the 2019 ATP Innovations Conference and the External Stakeholders Committee for the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE). He also has been on several Boards around the testing industry, including as Past-Chair of the Performance Testing Council, IT Certification Council, and Credentialing Network Group (CNG). He is a member of ANSI’s Personnel Certification Accreditation committee. Rory received a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology an MBA from Drexel University and B.A. in Psychology from Millersville University. He is certified as a Certified Association Executive (CAE). Michelle Porter, CAE; Director – Assessment Center, International Code Council As the Director of ICC’s Assessment Center, Ms. Porter oversees all aspects of test development, test administration, and recertification toward ensuring valid and reliable examinations according to nationally recognized testing standards. This is accomplished using both in-house staff and external volunteer subject matter experts as active leaders in their fields of inspection, plan review, and construction. Ms. Porter also acts as liaison for all test and program information with ICC’s testing and strategic partners, as well as internal ICC stakeholders. Before joining ICC, Ms. Porter worked for two general contractors as an estimator for high-end residential and commercial projects, and in project management for a commercial construction scheduling firm, coordinating schedules for multi-million dollar new construction and retrofit projects. Ms. Porter earned a B.S. in English with a minor in Psychology from the University of Montevallo, and has actively worked in construction-related industries for 20 years.

John C. Preston, DNSc, CRNA, FNAP; Chief Credentialing Officer, NBCRNA Dr. John C. Preston is the Chief Credentialing Officer for the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Dr. Preston has been active in nurse anesthesia accreditation, education and regulation for over 20 years. His previous career accomplishments include nurse anesthesia program administrator, Chair of the Council on Accreditation and AANA Senior Director for Education and Professional Development. He has been a registered nurse for 31-years and a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist since 1994. Naomi Savino; Manager of Business Operations, BCEN Naomi Savino is the Business Operations Manager for the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN), an independent, nonprofit organization that develops robust certification programs for emergency, transport and trauma nurses. Naomi began at BCEN in 2011 as a Customer Service Representative. Since then, she has grown with the organization into her current role as Business Operations Manager. Her primary focus is operational excellency, which includes customers, support staff, credentialing software, vendor relationships and vendor contracts. Prior to her role as Business Operations Manager, Naomi worked at Citibank as an Operations Manager in their Lockbox Services. Janie Schumaker, MBA, RN, CEN, CENP, CPHQ, FABC; President, ABNS Janie is an accomplished nurse leader who has been in the healthcare industry for more than 25 years. Janie is a nurse by background and has spent the majority of her career in Emergency Nursing, both at the bedside and in leadership roles. Janie holds a baccalaureate degree in nursing and a master’s degree in business administration. Janie is a strong advocate for specialty certification in nursing and holds her certified emergency nurse (CEN) credential as well as several others. Janie currently serves as the Executive Director for the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing where she originally began as a volunteer item writer for the CEN exam. Janie is also the President of the American Board of Nursing Specialties. James Stobinski, PhD, RN, CNOR®, CSSM (E)®; Chief Executive Officer, Competency and Credentialing Institute James earned his PhD in International Health Research from Touro University International in June of 2011 for a study of competency and skill acquisition in perioperative nurses. He has been employed by the Competency and Credentialing Institute (CCI) in Denver, Colorado since 2011 and was recently promoted to CEO of CCI. He also works as adjunct faculty at Nova Southeastern University in Ft Lauderdale Florida and Wilkes University in Pennsylvania teaching graduate students and doctoral candidates. Jim is the Past President of the ABSNC Board of Directors and he is very active in nursing certification research to include patient outcome studies.
