Perth Hills Armadale Visitor Centre (PHAVC) is an integral stakeholder in the tourism industry in the Armadale Perth Hills region and WA. The Citys tourism staff are pro-active in capitalising on growth opportunities for tourism. Working closely with local, regional and state tourism bodies, we aspire to work hard for our members to grow and prosper.

Brochure DisplayMembers are guaranteed brochure display in the Visitor Centre (DL, A4 or A5 in size) and business specials. Some member brochures are showcased at pop-up events throughout the year. Eg; It’s Yates Springtime at Araluen Tulip Festival, the Perth Hills Festival and the Kelmscott Show. Brochures are provided to coaches and in promotional packs as part of the distribution of our marketing strategy.

Digital Strategy – What we do?2018 was busy for digital activities of the strategy. Engaging best practise tactics online for our members. We continue the work on content creation and growth of our social media engagement plan. Social media strategist CoffeyandTea/SMPerth was instrumental in providing leads for Perths best influencers, bloggers and content creators for campaigns.Sponsored advertising and paid distribution channels on travel, lifestyle sites like SoPerth.com, Perth Happening and Weekend notes remains effective in the mix. Website PromotionThe pre-travel destination website www.perthhillsarmadale.com.au is search engine optimised and ranking well for searches of Armadale. The site features member’s products and services such as accommodation, attractions, experiences, tours, retail businesses, places to eat, things to do, top tips, e-news and information.

Social Media PromotionsMembers are included in social media

promotions when they provide us with relevant content on special events, deals, promotions and general good stories. The results speak volumesFB @PerthHillsArmadale increased from 3,366 to a whopping 12,212 likes in 2018. Instagram @PerthHillsArmadale tripled to a following of 1,232. We continue to stay abreast of google activities business listing and are actively populateour Google+ accounts to integrate our online presence. Social media is not a trend that is going away and we are serious about continually improving our social media footprint. Be part of the story with us and become a member to learn more about how to, what to and when to.

E-Newsletter ProfileThe perfect way to reach target markets, promote events and specials. Members receive regular, free profiles in our consumer newsletter (2164 subscribers) published bi-monthly. In 2019 we launched an industry specific newsletter sending relevant news, updates and tourism information direct to your inbox.

Regional Visitor Guide and PublicationsThe essential planning tool designed to provide locals, visitors and potential visitors with comprehensive understanding of what experiences a holiday or short stay in the Perth Hills Armadale offers. 25,000 copies are printed and distributed at key industry shows, 101 Visitor Centres throughout WA and online. An interactive online version is downloadable on

perthhillsarmadale.com. Members are encouraged to display the Regional Guide at their business to help us get our brand message out to market. Priority advertising and discounts is offered to GOLD and SILVER members.

MapsTear off map reference member listings Hello Perth Cooperative advertising with industry. This publication has the greatest reach for inbound tourists in Perth. Located at the domestic and international airports and at over 200 distribution points in Western Australia.Spring into Armadale is a four month promotional campaign for industry, that leverages on the 70k visitors who attend Araluen Botanic Park in spring, targeting VFR and Domestic visitors.

Cooperative CampaignsDetails to be confirmed for travel media or consumer marketing.Creating video for use online and for above the line television advertising. Eg: Destination WA. 2018 profiled some of our GOLD members in this initiative. Alongside Destination Perth, we worked on a campaign with Air Asia for Autumn in their inflight magazine and travel360 program . This was a first for Perth Hills and should return an increase in Asian visitors.GOLD Members have the opportunity to participate. Look for emails from tourism officers when campaigns are being planned in the industry e-news direct to your mailbox, or call in to have a chat with the coordinators.
