CONTRACT CONDITIONSPublisher reserves the right to hold advertisers and/or its ad-vertising agency jointly and severally liable for such monies as are due and payable to the publisher.

Full payment for banners, enewsletter, or any digital advertising must be received at time of purchase.

A 15% discount will be paid to recognized advertising agencies upon payment of invoice. No discounts or commissions will be paid on invoices not paid within 30 days. If invoices are paid within 10 days, a 2% discount applies. An additional 3% will be added to invoices paid by credit card.

Insertion orders must be signed by advertisers for each indi-vidual insertion and received by date indicated. Insertion orders for contract advertisers are used for materials and billing infor-mation—they do not affect the already signed contracts.

Neither the advertiser nor its agency may cancel (or make changes to) insertion orders once received. It is understood that the advertiser and/or agency will indemnify and hold the publisher harmless from and against any loss, expense, or other liability resulting from any claims or suits for libel, viola-tion of rights of privacy, plagiarism, copyright infringement, or any other claims or suits that may arise out of the publication of such advertisement.

Orders that earn volume discounts may be canceled by agen-cies upon written notice 30 days prior to the closing date of the issue. Payment of account becomes due in full, including the difference between rates billed and rates earned on the space used. Advertisers will be short rated to recover discounts forfeited because of unfulfilled contract.

Specialty Publishing Media (SPM) reserves the right to refuse advertising that is, in its estimation, not in keeping with the nature of Connected World’s editorial mission.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

MARKETING PACKAGESConnected World magazine offers marketing packages through-out the year for its awards programs. All items offered as part of a marketing package must be utilized within one year of the initial announcement of the package; anything not utilized dur-ing this time period will be forfeited.

LOGO CONDITIONSThis Logo Use Agreement (“Agreement”) governs the use by the Licensee of the Specialty Publishing Media logo, trademark, trade name, service mark and/or other intellectual property (collectively the “Mark”) owned by Specialty Publishing Media, located at 135 E. St. Charles Rd., Ste. D, Carol Stream, IL and for which use is permitted by and pursuant to this Agreement. The Mark will be used as is and will not be altered in any way. The Mark must be linked directly to the article/award that it represents. Any other use of the Mark must be prior approved in writing from Specialty Publishing Media. Connected World is a registered Trademark of Specialty Publishing Media. Any use without the expressed written consent from Specialty Publishing Media is prohibited and is a violation of U.S. and International trademark law. All rights reserved.

Term; Termination: The Agreement shall remain in effect for a period of one-year from the date of acceptance. Specialty Publishing Media may terminate the Agreement immediately with notice if it determines in its sole discretion that Licensee’s use of the Mark would result in any damage to the reputation or goodwill associated with Specialty Publishing Media, Specialty Publishing Media’s products and services, or the Mark. Upon termination, Licensee agrees to immediately discontinue all use of the Mark and any designation confusingly similar thereto, and to give Specialty Publishing Media satisfactory evidence of destruction of materials bearing the Mark.

The Connected World awards will be announced in October 2019

Pioneers will be announced in December 2019
