Marriage: The Archdiocese of Winnipeg requires at least six
months notice prior to the wedding. In addition, you must also be a
registered member in good standing. Marriage Preparation Course
obligatory.

CROSS IN OUR CHURCH - A sincere thank you to all who offered
donations to erect a Cross in our Church. The date of installation

PARISH RADIO PROGRAM has been broadcast for many years on CKJS
810 AM Radio. Each month we must pay $1,333 which is $16,000
annually. This program is listened to by many, especially the sick
and elderly and those not able to be with us at our Masses. To
date, we have collected $14,755.00. Our parish had to pay the
remaining balance of $1,245.00 in order that we may continue

YEAR 2019 SUNDAY OFFERTORY ENVELOPES may be picked up in the
Aikins Avenue foyer or at our parish office during the week. These
will only be mailed out in special cases as the cost to mail these
sets is very costly. Those who do not have envelopes and would like

name and address to ensure you are picking up the right set. Please

Chapel. It was a huge undertaking that entailed many hours of
work and effort to complete the entire renovation.

CHANGE OF ADDRESS - all parishioners who have moved in the last

are in the process of preparing the Income Tax receipts and would
like to update our parish records before they are printed. This may
be done by calling our parish office or placing the information in

ALTAR SERVERS MEETINGS 2019 will be held on: Saturday, January

The Baptism of the Lord is one of the most important events
recorded in the New Testament. It can be easy to forget the
tremendous blessings we enjoy because of God’s love for us—perhaps
even taking them for granted. It is good to spend time with
Scripture, and at Mass, thanking God for his never-ending love. We
are reminded in word and sacrament that God’s saving grace is found
in Jesus Christ.

BAPTISM PREPARATION FOR PARENTS AND GODPARENTS will be held on
Saturday, February 3 at 11:00 a.m. in the Conference Room (entrance
through the office doors on Pritchard Ave). Those who will be
attending are asked to call the parish office to register.
FIRST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH - February 1. We invite all to
participate in Devotions at 6:30 p.m. followed by Mass at 7:00 p.m.
Confessions will be one hour before Mass begins. On this day, there
will be visitation of the sick and elderly. If there is someone you
would like a priest to visit, please call our office and their
names will be placed on the list. ADORATION OF THE BLESSED
SACRAMENT is every First Friday of the month in our Chapel from
7:30 p.m.—9:00 p.m.
DEVOTIONS ON FIRST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH (Polish)- February 2 at
4:00 p.m. in the Church. All are invited to participate.
PRESENTATION OF THE LORD is celebrated on February 2. On this
day, blessing of the candles will take place following the morning
and evening masses. We invite everyone to bring your candles from
home to have them blessed that we may continue to carry the light
of Christ to the world.
HOLY GHOST FRATERNAL AID SOCIETY - will be having a meeting on
Sunday, January 20 at 2:30 p.m. Following the meeting, the
executive is inviting all members to participate in their
traditional Oplatek.
FAMILY OF RADIO MARIA will be having a meeting on Sunday,
January 20 following the Evening Mass at 6:00 p.m. ROSARY SODALITY
will be having a meeting on Tuesday, January 29 at 6:00 p.m. in the
Chapel.
CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE MEETING AND OPLATEK will be held on
Sunday, January 20 following the Mass at 9:30 a.m. All members are

The wedding at Cana has Jesus at the heart of the celebration.
He is present now as we gather to celebrate. Here today he bestows
upon us his blessings and his gifts—bringing forth faith and
reassuring us of his fidelity and abundant grace.

We spend a lot of time waiting. Waiting for people; waiting for
events; waiting for time to pass. One thing we do not have to wait
for is for God to fulfill his promise. That promise—of forgiveness
and union—came in the person of Jesus Christ. And from the time of
those who physically surrounded him to today, the message
has been simple: repent and believe. And that seems a lot more
fruitful than waiting around.
