2019 Greendale Public Library Summer Reading Program ~ June 17 - August 2 Reading Clubs: There is a reading club for every age- youth (birth - 5th grade), teen (6th grade - 12th grade) and adult. June 11 th will be the first day you can pick up a Reading Club Log. Starting June 12 th , you can turn your log in for prizes. Read over the summer for a chance to win prizes. The last day to turn in reading logs is Friday August 9th by noon. Wonderful Wednesdays ~ Preschool-5 th Grade Wednesdays 2-3pm in the Community Room June 19th: “More than Magic”, Magician Ardan James (No programming June 26th or July 4th) July 10th: Boogie in the Barnyard: Music Show July 17th: Ms. Kim’s Amazing Animals: Interactive Pet Show July 24th: Kids Play Theater July 31st: Naturalist David Stokes: A Universe of Animals Family Storytime~ Preschool - 1 st Grade Thursdays 10-10:30am in the Community Room These storytimes are designed for parents and caregivers to attend with their children. Books, music and songs! No registration is needed, just drop-in! Lego Club ~ Preschool-5 th Grade Thursdays 12:30-1:30pm in the Community Room Calling all Lego-maniacs! Each week will offer free play with project ideas. Attendance will be limited to 25 children. Adult caregivers are required for children under 8 years old. YOUTH and FAMILY PROGRAMS Out of this World Bingo Night ~ all ages Tuesday, June 18th from 6-7:30pm in the Community Room To kick off our Space themed Summer Reading, join us at the library for bingo night! Bring your luck and we'll bring the fun and prizes! Galaxy Rock Painting ~ all ages Tuesday, July 9th from 6-7:30pm in the Community Room Come to the library and paint some rocks! Supplies will be provided, just bring your creativity! Summer Reading Program ~ June 17 - August 2

Reading Clubs: There is a reading club for every age- youth (birth - 5th grade), teen (6th grade -

12th grade) and adult. June 11th will be the first day you can pick up a Reading Club Log.

Starting June 12th, you can turn your log in for prizes.

Read over the summer for a chance to win prizes.

Teen Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes

Work as a team with other teens to diffuse a bomb before time runs out!

Teen Melted Crayon Art

Thursday June 20 2-4pm Community Room

Create fun, colorful, and unique art by melting crayons on a canvas. Supplies are provided, but if you

are able to please bring a hair dryer.

Teen Minute to Win It

Monday June 24 2-4pm Community Room

What can you do in a minute? Test your skills and compete with other teens in a series of 60 second

challenges.

Teen Zen Garden

Destress at the library and create a peaceful and relaxing

Can you identify foods blindfolded? Taste the difference

between food brands? Provide your expert opinion on what

chips are best? Put your taste buds to the test at this taste test

challenge!

Join us as we welcome Chad Lewis! Wisconsin has a rich

history of UFO and alien encounters. This program looks at

some of the most amazing UFO encounters WI has to offer.

Galaxy Bath Bombs

Enjoy a stress free evening of coloring fun and intricate

coloring pages designed just for adults. This is a free

program for ages 18 and up. The library will provide the

materials but feel free to bring in your own

supplies. Registration is not required, just drop in!
