On behalf of our Hinchinbrook community, I welcome all to our district for the Australian-Italian Festival.

Our district is proud of and privileged to have the Festival, which exemplifies and celebrates our rich connection with the Italian culture and the successful assimilation of our people over time. I am sure you will enjoy a wonderful experience. Do as the Italians do - celebrate through song, food and wine.

Our Shire is located in the heart of tropical North Queensland and is a treasure trove of attractions for the inquisitive tourist. From golden beaches, pristine rain forests and islands, to the longest single drop waterfall, Wallaman Falls, we have it all here! Enjoy the views by tripping with our local operators whether by boat, air or sea.

Our fabulous staff and volunteers at the Hinchinbrook Visitor Information Lounge, located at our internationally recognised TYTO Precinct, will provide you with all the information about our district and will gladly assist with required arrangements to ensure you achieve the most of your visit to our part of the world.
