Why Do Standardized Assessments Matter Anyway?
Why Before How
❑ The NJSLA is one of many summative data sources we use to give us more instructional information on each student.
❑ The NJSLA gives parents and schools an indicator, on a continuum, about whether or not students are meeting grade-level expectations and therefore on track to becoming college and career ready.
❑ The NJSLA gives school districts feedback on how well aligned to the NJ Student Learning Standards curriculum and instructional practices are.
