Welcome to our unique collection of holidays and short breaks
At Enfieldian we believe that a coach tour should
be interesting and informative from start to finish.
To achieve this aim each tour is operated to a specially
prepared itinerary that starts from the moment you
join the coach at your local pick up point. You stay
on the same coach throughout the tour and there
are no time-wasting interchanges.
Our many regular travellers constantly remind us that
our tours ensure congenial company as well as providing
the opportunity to enjoy a memorable holiday with
others who appreciate the true beauty, heritage and
magnificence of Great Britain or the different flavours
of Europe.
Hotels.
Unless otherwise stated the hotels used on our tours
are of the comfortable 2/3 star standard and each room
has private facilities and is equipped with tea/coffee
making facilities. Accommodation is on a dinner, bed
and breakfast basis, unless otherwise stated.
sinGle suPPleMents.
Company policy is that No Single Supplements are
charged on the original fare on British Tours. However,
when the full allocation of single rooms has been taken
up there will be a supplement for any additional single
rooms or the single occupancy of a twin or double
room. The availability and cost will be determined
by the hotel concerned.

of Europe. Non UK passport holders may require a Visa.
You will be asked to leave the coach before leaving the
country and no refund will be given if you have no passport.
DAY Trips To FrAnCE & BElgiUMAll of the continental day trips will allow time for stops to
purchase wines, beers, spirits, cigarettes, cigars, tobacco and
other goods either from local shops, hypermarkets or tax
free outlets at the ports, depending on the tour itinerary
and type of tour. This is to enable you to take advantage
of the cheaper prices on the continent. Any passengers
suspected of bringing amounts of tax-free goods over the
UK allowances will be put off the coach at Calais or Dover,
without any refund of the fare or goods purchased.

PICK UP POINTS DEPARTURE TIMES
Group J is a new pick-up group starting at Waltham Cross in school term time only in an attempt to enable the coach to keep to time.
Blackpool is undoubtedly a favourite with British seaside
holidaymakers and reportedly 17 million visitors are attracted to the
bright lights every year. This year we are staying at the popular 3-star
Carousel Hotel located on the Blackpool seafront and with three
days at this resort we have plenty of time to enjoy the breathtaking
illuminations and all the various attractions, including the three piers,
Blackpool Tower and the adrenaline making rides of the ‘Pleasure
Beach’. We also include a whole day coach excursion exploring the
lesser known beauty spots of Lancashire taking us across the ‘Trough
of Bowland’ following the trail of the 'Pendle Witches' to Skipton
(lunch). In the afternoon we stop for tea in the shadow of Pendle
Hill before returning to Blackpool.

We present an unique experience to visit the Royal Mint and with a
guided tour discover how our coins are produced from blank to bank.
Our hotel is the Park Inn Cardiff North a short distance from the centre
of Cardiff and the Royal Mint. We arrive in Cardiff on Saturday afternoon,
approaching the city by driving through the rejuvenated docklands area.
On arrival in the city centre there is time for shopping at the new
St. Davids Centre, the Victorian Arcades or a visit to the ‘extraordinary
castle’. On Sunday morning we drive to the Royal Mint where a guided
tour explains how coins, military, sporting and commemorative medals
are manufactured. The history of 1,000 years of coinage is also
illustrated. There is time for a visit to the unique shop and lunch in
the restaurant before returning home along the motorway. The tour
is scheduled to arrive back in Enfield Town by approximately 7.00pm.

Paris is a living work of art. From the pavement artists of Montmartre
to the Leonardos of the Louvre, the many artistic and architectural
treasures in the city have likened Paris to one vast museum. However
Paris is also a vibrant city of elegance with its many shops, bars, cafes
and restaurants all harmonised by an atmosphere of romance and
joie-de vivre. This is a tour of Paris that is quite simply unique. Our
hotel is the 4-star cruise vessel MS Seine Princess, moored on the
Seine in central Paris. Spacious and light she offers a welcoming and
refined ambience. Facilities include a large lounge bar and library,
gourmet restaurant, sun deck and souvenir shop. All the cabins are
air-conditioned and enjoy panoramic views, satellite TV, radio, safe
and en-suite facilities. This is a FULL BOARD PACKAGE that will
enable you to enjoy some wonderful cuisine, spectacular cabaret
entertainment and experience the wonderful sights and attractions
that Paris has to offer.
Friday: We shall cross the Channel from Dover and then follow the
motorways across Northern France to arrive in Paris in the early
evening. After settling in we have dinner and a cabaret show.
Saturday: We join our coach for a morning guided sightseeing
tour of Paris, then after lunch the afternoon is at your leisure
to explore Paris followed by dinner and dancing.
Sunday: During the morning we shall have another sightseeing
tour of Paris to Montmartre and the Sacre Coeur. After lunch the
afternoon is at leisure and in the evening there is a Gala Dinner
with an evening river cruise.
Monday: Drive back across Northern France to the Channel ports for
the ferry to England arriving back in Enfield during the late evening.

The opportunity to sample the delights of Christmas before the
real thing takes us over as we enjoy this pre-Christmas break at the
Warner's Luxury Coast Hotel in Bembridge, Isle of Wight. The hotel,
once owned by George V’s Lord in Waiting and visited by the late
Queen Mother, enjoys spectacular views of the Solent. You can look
forward to a sumptuous Christmas dinner with all the traditional
trimmings with plenty of festive fun, music and dancing. It’s
Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day all parcelled up with
the shiniest of the bows with spectacular entertainment. We shall
include a coach excursion to Godshill (coffee) and Newport for lunch
returning across the downs to Bembridge to go with the Turkey
and Tinsel Hotel programme. The tour is scheduled to arrive back
in Enfield Town by approximately 6.00pm.

In the heart of Winter, Lille sparkles and glows with joie de vivre.
With the wave of a magic wand, the city takes on a festive
atmosphere and welcomes you to a winter wonderland. On Place
Rihour more than 90 chalets team with Christmas Gift ideas, nativity
figurines, Christmas decorations and festive food. You can find
regional specialities here and arts and crafts from around the world.
Lille is Northern France’s largest and oldest Christmas Market and is
a foodies’ delight with no shortage of good restaurants and food
shops. Most of the main shopping streets are around the Grand
Place also known as Place du General de Gaulle so you won’t have
far to wander. Our hotel is the 4-star Novotel Centre Gares Lille,
and the tour is on a BED AND BREAKFAST BASIS.
Friday: Travel outward via Dover to Calais on the ferry. We shall
stop for lunch in the quaint city of St. Omer with its Cathedral and
attractive main square before driving on to Lille and our hotel for
our overnight stop. You are then free to enjoy the night life and
the many restaurants that Lille has to offer.
Saturday: Whole day free to enjoy Lille Christmas Market before
sampling the delights of one of the many restaurants in Lille for
your evening meal.
Sunday: We shall drive over the border into Belgium to visit historical
Ypres, well known for its connection to the famous battles of the
First World War. We have lunch in Ypres, returning to Calais for
our ferry to Dover and then home by approximately 10pm.

The opportunity to visit Hastings, the resort noted for its refurbished
pier and a host of other attractions including the castle built by
William the Conqueror, the interesting old town where ‘Foyles War’
was filmed and the famous fish market where fishermen sell fish
straight from the sea. Alternatively, stay on the coach and spend the
afternoon in mediaeval Rye with its large market and old-fashioned
streets lined with antique shops. Home by approximately 8.00pm.

A delightful tour that takes us through the Beechwoods of the
Chiltern Hills to join our boat at Maidenhead for a relaxing cruise

or take a walk along the promenade and over the bridge into
Eton, famous for its public school and old-fashioned shops.

Cruising into Windsor
Stop for lunch in the pretty village of Dedham where the parish church
is noted for its Harvest Festival Decorations – a blend of flowers, fruit
and vegetables. We then drive along the Stour Valley to visit ‘Corncraft’
noteworthy for corn dolly making. Have a look at the Craft Shop and
then enjoy a cream tea before arriving home by approximately 7.00pm.

Drive direct to Broadstairs, the charming seaside resort with its cliff
top promenade, winding lanes and cobble street overlooking the
quaint harbour. Today Victoria Gardens, overlooking Viking Bay is

Kent’s finest food and drink along with special tastings and cooking
demonstrations. Admission is free and many restaurants in the town

Broadstairs Food Fair
Our special autumnal tour takes us over the Chiltern Hills for coffee
at the Bicester Garden Centre and then on to the bustling town of
Banbury (lunch), noteworthy for the statue of a ‘fine lady on a white
horse’. Suitably refreshed we spend the afternoon at Upton House,
The 18th century mansion is noted for its fine collection of paintings,
Sevres Porcelain, Chelsea figures and furniture. The garden is of
great interest as it contains the national collection of Asters as
well as Japanese Maples and autumn crocus, the berberis bank
usually being ablaze with seasonal tints and berries. Home by
approximately 7.00pm.

The opportunity to celebrate 60 years of car production at BMW’s
Cowley Car Factory. We spend the morning in Oxford and drive
out to the Car Plant after lunch where we have arranged a special
tour that shows us the various production processes being used.
Afterwards enjoy a journey that takes us through 100 years
of Oxford’s car building history in a special exhibition area.
Time for refreshment in the cafeteria before arriving home by
approximately 7.00pm.

Celebrating 60 Years of Minicarproduction in oxfordshire
Spend a day in Oxford, the University City renowned for its ancient

the former gaol have silently born witness to 1000 years of history.

Autumn glory in The Chilterns and Cliveden
Our special autumn tour that breaks for coffee at the Chiltern
Gareway Centre, renowned as the highest place in the East of
England, before driving across the Ashridge Estate to stop for lunch
beside the Thames in Marlow. We spend the afternoon at Cliveden,
the estate with spectacular views across the Thames Valley, that was
once the home of Lady Astor and infamous for the Profumo Affair.
As well as access to the splendid grounds we have also arranged a
tour of some of the sumptuous interior including the Great Hall and
ornate French Dining Room. There is time for tea in the National
Trust’s tea room before arriving home at approximately 7.00pm.

A tour with a difference! We drive to Bedford, stopping en-route for
a bubbly breakfast and after some time to look around the busy
market place, board our converted barge for a three hour cruise
along the River Great Ouse during which a ‘ploughman’s lunch’
will be served. The boat is equipped with a licensed bar and toilet
facilities. Also, today, we welcome fancy dress based on a 50’s - 60’s
theme for which there will be a prize for the best fancy dress

Bedford Barge Cruise
Stop for lunch in the interesting town of Faversham and spend the
afternoon at Brogdale, the home of the National Fruit Collection with
2000 distinct apple varieties, 500 pear varieties, 350 plum varieties,
220 cherry varieties and many bush fruits, nuts and vines. Today,
we have a special guided tour of the orchards and the opportunity
to taste some of the apples on display. There is a Tea Room, plant
centre, fruit shop and visitor centre within the complex. Home

Today we follow the scenic route to Shakespeare’s Stratford. We
travel through the Chiltern Hills and the Cotswolds via Edge Hill to
arrive in Stratford for lunch. Stratford is situated alongside the River
Avon and is renowned for its associations with Shakespeare, the
world’s greatest playwright. It’s possible to visit many Shakespearian
properties including the church where he was baptised and buried.
You could take a guided tour bus around the town or enjoy a boat
trip on the river. Home by approximately 8.00pm.

Birmingham City Centre has undergone an exciting transformation
in recent years, the canals are cleaner and are now noted for their
waterfront restaurants and antiques market whilst the regenerated
‘Bull Ring Shopping Centre’ is one of the most impressive in the
country. St. Philips Cathedral, the industrial museum, Centenary
Square, and Chaimberlain Square home to the fine museum and art

Wandering through Wiltshire

mellow beauty of the rolling Cotswolds as we head to Cirencester

Today’s tour visits Anglesey Abbey Gardens and Lode Mill near

unusual Market Hall. We spend the afternoon at Eltham Palace where
we see the ‘Art Deco’ masterpiece created by the Courtauld family
and experience the glitz and glamour of a house filled with quirky
details, from the golden tiled bathroom to a suite of rooms created

We shall drive to Leamington Spa in Warwickshire, famous for its
wide boulevards, Georgian and Edwardian architecture and Jephson
Gardens. After a short break in the town we shall visit the Guide
Dogs for the Blind Training School. It started in 1941 and today trains
220 dogs a year, so you are invited to take part in the Guide Dog
Experience and learn about this life-changing work. You can find out
how it all began and how a guide dog is trained; meet the dogs and
take a picture of your favourite; experience a blind-fold walk; visit the
gift shop and meet the owners or puppy walkers. There will be time
for tea and biscuits before setting off for home, a stop being made
en-route, arriving home by approximately 7.30pm. There is no
admission charge but donations to the training school are very
welcome. The visit is timed for 1.30pm and that is the only time the
centre accepts group visits so the time available in Leamington Spa
is restricted.

Today we offer a scenic tour that visits two of the Cotswolds most
attractive towns. We stop for lunch in Bourton-on-the Water the

Beautiful Bruges - Venice of the north
Drive direct to Winchester where there is time for lunch and
sightseeing in a city that was once the ‘capital of All England’ and is
well known for its cathedral, castle, and military museum as well as a
tempting array of old fashioned shops. We spend the afternoon at
Mottisfont, the site of the National Trust’s newest winter garden.
It contains a number of unusual plants that are at their most beautiful
when other plants are in hibernation. The 18th century house with a
mediaeval priory at its heart may also be visited. Time for tea at the

We take a nostalgic train journey from Alton to Alresford in
Hampshire recalling the golden age of steam. The journey takes you
through the fields in the lee of the South Downs famous for its clear
water streams and watercress beds the railway being famous for
transporting watercress to London. We then drive the short distance
to the city of Winchester with its connections to Jane Austen. The
Cathedral now houses a new exhibition entitled ‘Kings and Scribes’
the highlight of which is the recently refurbished 800 year old Bible.
The city's cathedral close, mediaeval buildings, interesting alleyways
and a tempting array of old fashioned shops and boutiques mean
that there is plenty to keep us occupied during the afternoon.

Today we have the opportunity to visit the new Stonehenge Exhibition
and Visitor Centre where we can get closer to the ‘Mysteries of the
Stones’ at the Visitor Centre before travelling to the great Stone Circle
by special land train to view close up this exceptional survivor from
lost pre-historic culture. The multimillion pound Visitor Centre gives us
a 360 degree experience of viewing the stones whilst standing in the
centre of the circle, using laser scan images that enable us to watch
the winter and summer solstices come and go in spectacular fashion.
Time for lunch in the restaurant before driving into Salisbury where
there is an original example of ‘Magna Carta’ displayed in the

In 2014 Shrewsbury was awarded ‘Champion of Champions’ by the
R.H.S. Britain in Bloom Campaign through having the best floral
displays in the whole of Great Britain. It is a unique town with its

CHildren’s fares
Children between the ages of 3-13 inclusive are generally charged two thirds
of the adult fare to the nearest 5p above. Children under 3 will travel free if not
occupying a seat. No reduction is given on ‘Seaside Sprees’ or ‘Rural Rides’.

Are usually included in the Tour fare. The only main exception to this concerns
visits to properties in the care of the National Trust. Passengers who are
members of the National Trust are therefore advised to bring their
membership cards with them.
sMoKinG, Hot food and alCoHol
In view of the irritation smoking and the consumption of hot food can cause in
the close confines of a coach they, along with the consumption of alcohol, are
banned on our vehicles.
deParture tiMes
The time shown on your ticket is wherever possible the time the coach actually
departs and it cannot wait after this time. So please be at your departure point
at least 10 minutes early. During a tour the driver will give you further details
of stops during the tour. We will not be held responsible for any passenger
arriving late at any time.
lost ProPertY
The recovery and return of Lost Property is time-consuming and expensive so
a charge of £2 per item will be levied. There is no guarantee that lost property
can be traced. All property on our coaches is carried at ‘Owners Risk’ and the
company will not be held responsible for items left on our vehicles whilst they
are unattended i.e. Motorway Services. Lost Property will be held for a
maximum of 4 weeks from date of Tour.

Schedules have to be flexible so although we will endeavour to operate the
tours as shown in our brochure we will not be held responsible for traffic delays
or other unforeseen problems which may cause the driver to alter an itinerary.
seasonal tours
The company will not take responsibility for any disappointment caused by
inclement and unusual weather affecting seasonal tours, e.g. snowdrops,
blossom, autumn colours, etc.

The time that the coach is scheduled to arrive back at Enfield Town is shown
beneath each Tour description. Other points will be correspondingly later or
earlier. These times are only approximate and are intended as a guide only.
BooKinG ConfirMations
When booking day tours or holidays the seat/s will be held on option awaiting
payment for up to 5 (five) working days from the day of booking after which
the booking will be cancelled. Day tour bookings will not be transferred to
future tour/s within 14 days of the departure of the original booked tour.
CanCellations
Should there be inadequate demand, or it is impossible to run the Tour
for any other reason, we reserve the right to cancel the departure. In
this case, all fares will be refunded in full. It is therefore helpful when
booking your ticket if you can ensure that your telephone number or
address is written on your ticket so that, should the necessity arise, we
are able to contact you. If you have to cancel your Tour, please let us
know as soon as possible.
a. If you cancel your booking more than 14 days before date of travel we shall
refund your monies paid less a cancellation charge of 20% of the full fare.
b. If you cancel your booking less than 14 days before date of travel we shall
refund your monies paid less a cancellation charge of 50% of the full fare.
c. If you cancel your booking less than 2 working days before the day of travel
no refund will be made.
d. If tickets have been purchased for an event on the customer’s behalf, it will
not be possible to refund the full fare charged including the ticket monies
for the event.
