Pay refs PRIOR to scrimmage
39
You may turn any of your pre-assigned
practice times into a scrimmage as long as
you have SOLO ice.
If you are looking to schedule additional ice
for a home scrimmage, it can only be on a
weekend.
Ice Coordinator WILL NOT swap your ice.

40
Schedule scrimmages through D6 website
Only Team Manager or Scrimmage Manager should do this
D6 Rules –
13.3.1: District 6 officials MUST BE USED for all games and scrimmages between D6 teams and for all games and scrimmages played on D6 ice.
13.3.2: On-Ice Officials – Any D6 games or scrimmage MUST utilize the D6 referee schedulers to assign officials. Requests for officials for scrimmages must be made 96 hours prior to the start of the scrimmage. If a scrimmage has been set up with the league scheduler and the scrimmage gets cancelled, the league scheduler must be given a minimum of 24 hours notice or a game fee will be assessed against the team which set up the scrimmage. On-ice officials must be paid for scrimmages prior to the start of the scrimmage.
41
After requesting referees you should verify that they have been assigned by checking your schedule 48 hours after the request. If the scrimmage shows up on the schedule you have referees assigned to what is posted.
SCRIMMAGES WILL NOT BE COVERED IF THE FORM IS NOT FILLED OUT COMPLETELY AND ACCURATELY.
To CANCEL a scrimmage call 612-723-1479 OR fill out the form and note cancel along with game number, same person to fill out form so know it is a legitimate cancel game. If not cancelled you will pay the referees
OUT of circle scrimmages will be an extra $20 for each referee. This rate will be posted on the game listing. D6 policy is ALL ice the D6 home team buys no matter location.
42
HEAD coach from each team must be on the ice with skates and helmet and ONLY the head coach
You can do a controlled scrimmage with a CCHA team or a non-CCHA team (must be same level)
Coaches are encouraged to stop play to give instruction
No scoresheet
No time clock is running
Clock MUST be off – not even for time!
Up to a 3 game suspension, D6 discipline meeting
Do not upload a score on your team page
If questions, consult D6 handbook or ASK
Squirt/10U – Controlled does not count towards your 35 game limit- Do not engineer these – be honest!

Minnesota Hockey has a long standing tradition of providing players with certain awards based on their achievements. While the main focus should always be on the team and having fun, it is also important to reward those who push themselves to improve and attain a higher level of performance.
Zero Award: For a goalkeeper playing a complete game without allowing a goal.
Hat Trick Award: For a player scoring three goals in one game.
Playmaker Award: For a player registering three assists in one game.
Player awards are distributed under the following conditions: The recipient is a registered player.
The game was in league competition (not scrimmage or exhibition), a sanctioned tournament or a MN Hockey playoff involving only USA Hockey registered teams.
The game was officiated by registered USA Hockey referees.
Eligible player categories: All players Squirt and above.
A readable copy of the score sheet with the players listed is required with the application.
Limit of ONE of each award per player per season - i.e. one Hat Trick, one Playmaker and one Zero
