Welcome to our new programme of Tiny ACE activities taking place at venues throughout South Lanarkshire. Tiny ACE will let your child explore and discover a range of activities which will help develop their creativity, speech, social and motor skills. Taking part in these imaginative play sessions will encourage your child to develop an active mind and body.

Our membership brings together access to a wide range of early years activities from sports, physical activity, culture and libraries, in a way that hasn’t been done before. Here at South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture we have something for everyone with over 50 exciting activities to choose from, Tiny ACE members also get access to:

• General swimming at 9 of our pools• Crèches• General skate sessions at East Kilbride Ice Rink (Monday - Friday)• Libraries• Calderglen Zoo• 10% discount on our fantastic range of birthday party packages (restrictions may apply)

PLUS you get your very own ‘Scorch’ finger puppet to encourage interaction with your child. Scorch is our Tiny ACE mascot, hopefully you will get to meet him in person at some of our events.

All of the Tiny ACE activities within this brochure can be accessed either on a Pay as You Go basis or via the Tiny ACE membership scheme.

Membership Costs

This membership is available from birth to pre school with a full price membership costing £17.00 per month.

Discounted memberships for the following are also available:

50% concession is available for Leisure for All cardholders.

20% discount for the siblings of one full paying child holding Tiny ACE or ACE memberships.

20% discount for a child holding a swimming lesson membership.

When you’ve found something that catches your eye, description of activities can be found on page 58 of this brochure. As well as our scheduled sessions we also have a fantastic selection of one off events, from Room on the Broom through to our very popular Muddy Puddle Treasure Trail Walks, so don’t miss out, get these additional dates in your diary and join in on the fun see page 54!

How to bookFor new customers please contact your local site for availability on our classes and courses.

How to re-bookGreat news if you are a Tiny ACE member as we take care of rebooking courses for you, but please let us know if your child decides to no longer attend the course as we have waiting lists for many activities.

For our pay as you go customers All you have to do is make a payment on the re-enrolment dates at your local facility. If payment is not received within the re-enrolment timescales your booking will be cancelled and the space will be offered to customers on the waiting lists.

Baby Massage

Baby massage is delivered by an IAIM qualified tutor, it allows hands on time between adult and baby, encouraging bonding and attachment from an early age. The massage sessions allow quality time whilst observing your baby’s needs and wants over a course of 5 weeks. Please contact the relevant facility for further information.

Baby Yoga

Promoting wellbeing in the baby as well as strengthening their spine and neck and encouraging development.

Bambino Bikes

A project designed and delivered to assist children to ride a bicycle.

The training will be focused on developing basic riding skills in a fun, supportive environment using positive coaching methods. The activities have been designed to allow the little ones to build their confidence in handling a bicycle, scooting with their feet.

In some sessions bikes and helmets can be provided (check when booking) and parents are welcome to stay and work with their child.

Bookbug SessionsFREE, fun and friendly events for babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and their families to enjoy together.Each session lasts around 30 minutes and includes songs stories and rhymes. There is no need to book, they take place in all our libraries in a very relaxed environment and are a great opportunity to send quality time with your little one.

Going along to a session is a great way to meet other mums, dads, carers and children in your local area.

They also have lots of benefits for your child such as building up their confidence and social skills, and will give their speech and language development a real boost!
