Justin was an all-region safety. He knows all coverages and has quick feet. (As a base coverage, we play college-style Quarters. We also play Cover 2, ¼-¼-½’s, and three different versions of Sabin’s pattern-match coverage vs. trips.) Justin is strong in man coverage AND excellent in zone coverage with knowing his responsibilities; additionally, he is one of the fastest kids on the field.

Cannon was an all-region quarterback, as a senior. As a junior, he was a starting slot receiver, outside linebacker and safety – he is an athlete AND a winner! He can throw the Deep Out, Comeback, Dig, and Seam Route with some loft. Cannon can throw the ball through the goalpost from near the 45-yard line. He is also proficient enough to throw receivers open and execute the back-shoulder throw. As a receiver, Cannon has a quick release off the LOS, has good vision and instincts, great hands, and the quickness to make defenders miss. He is very athletic (also a varsity basketball player), but he is quicker than he is fast. Cannon is also willing to block and plays with a high motor. As an OLB and quarters-coverage-safety, Cannon is very active against both the pass and the run. He does not give ground on contact with blockers. He also plays flat at LB depth his with first step, controls gaps with good body control and can play in both man and zone coverage.

Justin was an all-region place kicker and kick-off specialist. He was our starting kicker both his junior and senior years. Justin kicked off 75 times with 45 touchbacks. He was 49 of 52 for PAT’s and 7 of 17 for FG’s with a long of 41; however, we mostly used FG’s simply as a “chance” at points with a realization it was more of a “punt” and a touchback, knowing most were out of his range. Justin also finished 2nd place out of nearly 90 participants at the NFL Arizona Cardinals Kicking Camp by Luis Zendejas. Justin is full of potential, and with a kicking coach/expert (which we do NOT have), he can be great!

Delton can be relied on in man coverage against both RB's and TE's and is disciplined in route recognition. Mack was a three-year varsity starter in both football and baseball and an all-region linebacker AND tight-end his junior year. As an OLB, he plays downhill and explosive. Mack is very strong and dominating on the LOS as a run defender and wins with speed and quickness as an edge rusher. As a TE, he has a combination of size & speed, and can change the LOS at the point of attack. Mack has soft hands and can stretch the field vertically, find the open window in zone and separate from man coverage. He is also a threat after the catch. Athleticism is in his genes - his father played tackle for Stanford and his mother volleyball for U of South Florida. (Missed senior season with a back injury. Recently returned to the weight room and field drills - working hard to play college football.)

Lance was the Arizona 6A Player of the Year as a Junior. He was an all-region player for three years, on both sides of the ball, AND a four-year starter! As a running back, Lance is a tough and fast runner with the ability to break multiple tackles and outrun 4.6/40 defenders. He has both the quickness to elude defenders and can run downhill quickly and uses power, speed and balance to gain extra yards on every carry. As a receiver, Lance has an instant release off the LOS with low pad level, a burst into the route, one step cuts, outstanding catching ability, and the ability to separate himself from defenders with his speed. He can catch a jump ball as easy as a mesh, slant, or hitch AND is comfortable running all routes, posses very good ball skills, and a willingness to block for teammates. Lance was our best football player and scored the highest of any Arizona athlete at the Nike Regional Open this year. He also saw time at dime-linebacker, safety and quarterback. Additionally, Lance broke nearly every school passing, rushing, receiving and all-purpose yards record, some were nearly 30 years old!

He plays with an excellent pad level, for a young man of his size and height, by demonstrating natural knee bend.
