For Swearingen’s bio, the rest of the Titan coaching staff, and player bios, visit westminster/volleyball. Under 26th-year Head Coach Tammy Swearingen, the Titans return five starters, including senior Delaney Saxton, who earned PAC Second Team honors last season. Saxton finished second on the team in both kills (258) and hitting percentage (.232) and was also third on the team in blocks with 59. Westminster was picked to finish first in this year’s PAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll. “Fortunately, we do have a strong nucleus of returners coming back and we look to them to help lead,” said Swearingen. “Having success last year certainly adds to the team’s confidence. I’m hoping that we can build on that momentum to take the next step this season.” Last season, Westminster won the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship Tournament, defeating Farleigh Dickinson University in three sets for its first ECAC Championship since 2001. Rounding out the starters returning are seniors Rachel Moore and Shanna Daniels and juniors Haley Farmerie and Reilly DeGeorge. Moore, Daniels, and DeGeorge, all earned All-PAC Honorable Mention honors last season. Westminster’s first game of the season is against Frostburg State University at the Saint Vincent Invitational, beginning on Friday, August 31 at 6:30 p.m. Tammy Swearingen 26th-Year Head Coach 5-Time Coach of the Year [email protected] 724-946-7320 # NAME CL.
