prestigious competition and we’re keeping everything crossed for a win on November 26th. Having won the trophy twice before, a third win would qualify us for

Day to remember! Back in September, Darlington franchisee Amanda Day attended the finals of the British Hairdressing Business Awards, after being shortlisted for the Manager of the Year title. Although Amanda didn’t take the trophy on the night, simply reaching this stage is a phenomenal achievement and a reflection of the passion and commitment she brings to her role. Well done from all at Contemporary Amanda!

Stage StarS Here’s the super-talented Alan Simpson and Stephen Chapman from the Contemporary Art Team presenting live on stage at Manchester Central. The team were invited to showcase their brand new Eclectic collection as part of the HJ Live North event, which took place in October. Working with three models, the duo drew a huge crowd who watched their inspirational demo featuring fashion-forward colours and directional cuts.

ShOut Out tO my X As part of his year-long mentorship on the ghd Style Squad, Stokesley’s Brad Szekeres recently styled contestants backstage at this years X Factor Live shows. The opportunity came when Brad worked alongside session styling legend - and official X Factor stylist - Adam Reed and despite 741 applications from his hairdressing peers, Brad was handpicked along with 13 other stylists to join the backstage team.
