    I’ll be there

  • 1

M issouri jobs with Justice is a coalition of more than 100 community, labor, student and faith-based groups committed to fighting together for economic justice. Working together in 2018 we defeated egregious assaults on workers’ rights and succeeded in defending important protections for Missouri’s working people. Jobs with Justice brings people together to form a strong statewide movement capable of responding quickly whenever action is needed. By organizing in our workplaces, our communities, our campuses and our congregations we are able to win concrete victories on the issues that matter most for working families. Missouri Jobs with Justice is part of a national network of local community, faith, student, and labor coalitions that is building a national movement for workers’ rights and economic justice.

J obs with Justice wins concrete victories for Missouri’s working people. We are action-oriented. During each year, members and organizations take the Jobs with Justice Pledge to “be there” at least five times for someone else’s fight as well as their own. That means joining picket lines, attending rallies and participating in other actions or demonstrations for economic and social justice. In addition to assisting member organizations with “street heat,” Jobs with Justice coordinates Workers’ Rights Boards, justice-oriented community leaders who use their moral authority to create a highly visible public forum to defend workers’ rights. Missouri Jobs with Justice’s regional Leadership Teams build and strengthen alliances among member organizations in their communities. Currently, regional Leadership Teams meet regularly in St. Louis, Kansas City, and Springfield and representatives from other regions participate in a statewide executive board. While there are many ways JwJ builds solidarity, the most important is mobilizing members to take to the street in support of each others’ campaigns.

Be Part of the Movement for Jobs with Justice!

The Jobs with Justice “Be There” Pledge I’ll be There...

standing up for our rights as working people to a decent standard of living.

supporting the right of all workers to organize and bargain collectively.

fighting to secure family-wage jobs in the face of corporate attacks on working people and our communities.

organizing the unorganized to take aggressive action to secure a better economic future for all of us.

mobilizing those already organized to join the fight for jobs with justice. During the next year, I’LL BE THERE at least five times for someone else’s fight, as well as my own.

If enough of us are there, we’ll all start winning.

I would like to be kept up to date via text message (standard message rates apply)

I renew my Jobs with Justice pledge to “Be There” five times this year for someone else’s fight as well as my own. Let me know when I can make the difference by showing up for a rally, picket line, or other action for workers’ rights and economic justice.

If you wish to make an auto draft donation directly from your bank account, please include your bank account and routing number and we will follow up with you. Donations to Missouri Jobs with Justice are tax deductible.
