Welcome to MDSG Conferences 2018

Dear Professor, Dr and distinguished delegates, Welcome to the MDSG Conferences 2018 in Phuket, Thailand. On behalf of Malaysia Doctorate Support Group, I would like to thank all the Conference Chair, Program Chairs and the Technical Committees. Their high competence and professional advice enable us to prepare the high-quality program. For the participants, we hope all of you have a wonderful time at the conference and also in Phuket, Thailand. We believe that by this excellent conference, you can get more opportunity for further communication with researchers and practitioners. For the conferences CASEIC 2018, KIHREMIC 2018 and RICBEM 2018 more than 20 submitted papers have been received and 10 papers have been accepted and published finally.

In order to hold more professional and significant international conferences, your suggestions are warmly welcomed. And we are looking forward to meet you again next time. Best Regards,

Thank you.

Yours Sincerely,

Datin MZ Zainab Director – Conference Management Chairman, MDSG Conferences 2018 Phuket, Thailand

Abstract: Brain Computer Interface (BCI) machine in this project is developed with Rehabilitation hand to enhance and amplify the motor function feedback for the subject to strengthen then connection between the muscle activation and brain activities in order to recover their paralyzed motor function. In this paper, the highlight will be on Reality and Virtual Control analysis of the BCI ma-chine accuracy in control for 10 different subjects. The classifiers LDA and ESD will be used in the BCI machine. The EEG coverage area is F7, F8, FC5, FC6, F3 and F4. The aim of the project is to have a system that is controlled by Electroencephalogram (EEG) BCI that improves Neuroplasticity Brain activation for Rehabilitation of Stroke Patient on Finger-hand paresis. The BCI analysis is focused on temporal information features extractions. The outcome of the project achieved overall control accuracy for manual control is 40% and for auto control is 30% in online BCI, which is promising.

Abstract: The aim of the project is to rehabilitate the wrist of a stroke patient for three different wrist movements. The system develop is a continuous motion machine that has both active and passive motion mode which has three rehabilitation modes. The method used to solve this is to have a modular design that is able to be configured easily to different rehabilitation modes. The developed system has a position sensors, a motor and a controller The outcome achieved by the overall system is 70%-90%. The flexion and extension mode is able to achieve an accuracy of 70%-90%,

radial and ulnar is between 70%-85% and supination and pronation and is between 65%-85%. The limitation of the system is the angle sensor which has a non-working area, the precision of the angular movement of the motor varies from the system and the mounting mechanism of the motor has some stability issues. The future works of the system is to have a stepper motor with precise angle movement, better motor mounting mechanism to increase stability.

Abstract: The awareness about the harmful effect on fiberglass as sound absorbing material on human health and environment has increased. Thus, the demand for natural fiber to replace fiberglass panel is expanding due to low cost in fabrication and more environmentally friendly. This research has studied the thickness effects on microstructure and acoustic properties of low density fiberboard (170 kg/m3) based natural fiber of OPT. The morphologies and acoustic properties of all samples were examined using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Impedance Tube Method (ITM), respectively. The SAC values for all samples showed a minimum value of 0.8 at frequency range of 2500 Hz – 6400 Hz except for sample with thickness of 10 mm. However, the SAC values of sample with thickness of 10 mm almost reach unity (~0.99) at frequency range of 6000 Hz – 6400 Hz. SAC values are found to increase with increasing in thickness at frequency range of 0 – 3500 Hz except for sample with thickness of 12 mm. As the frequency increased from 5500 to 6400 Hz, the SAC values increased with decreasing in thickness with exception of sample 12 mm. Tortuosity, where it reflects the percolation paths may play a crucial role in determining the SAC at frequency range of 0 – 3500 Hz. The SAC values in frequency range of 0 – 2500 Hz have been fitted in linear equation. The results show that the experimental SAC values for all samples fitted well in linear equation, where the linear correlation, R2 for all samples is above 0.98.

deals with the impact test of the shoulder protectors, which differ with the use of foams of different densities. The acceleration and displacement of an impactor having the mass of five kilograms were measured. The impactor dropped from a height of one meter. For each sample, two impacts were used. The results show how the use of the different foams affects the deceleration of the impactor and the distance between the impactor and the base block (compression of the protector). Moreover, the results show how the deceleration and the distance change when the impact is repeated. The ideal protector would have low density, low maximum impact deceleration, low maximum protector compression, and its properties would not change when impact is repeated. The foam with good compromise properties was evaluated.

Abstract: There are not many studies that integrate Service-Oriented Organizational Citizenship Behaviors (S-OOCBs) and service quality, in the banking industry in an effort to seize and maintain customer loyalty. The purpose of this study is to explore perceptions, gaps and relationships between the dimensions of S-OOCBs and servqual in terms of banking employees and customers. This study used a quantitative approach, involving 399 respondents consisting of 74 employees and 325 customers of Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (BPR) and Bank Pembangunan Daerah (BPD). Data were collected using questionnaires and the data analysis was done using WarpPLS. This study proves that the average perception of BPR customers and employees on S-OOCBs and servqual is higher than that of BPD customers and employees. Based on the average gap of perceptions of the dimensions of S-OOCBs and servqual, the customers perceive that the employees have the dimensions of S-OOCBs in the same category as the employees’ self-evaluation. According to BPR/BPD employees and customers, all dimensions examined are the reflection of S-OOCBs. The S-OOCBs of both employees and customers of BPR and BPD have a significant positive effect on servqual. The results of this study have managerial implications because they are viewed from two sides, banking employees and customers, and are useful for banking management.

Abstract: The development of a region will have an impact on the surrounding ecosystem. currently there has been a growing human activity along the river, one of which is the Krukut river. based on these conditions, a study was conducted to see the condition of the river during peak discharge. river conditions are viewed based on river morphology, riparian area buffers and flooding limits. The method applied in hydrological analysis used frequency distribution with the water level data obtained from the gauge station which then included the flood discharge data in the simulation by using the HEC-RAS program to determine the height of the inundation and flow velocity that occurred in the river under study. The simulation in this research is conducted as a result of the flow rate and flow velocity will affect the river profile. this can be seen from the condition of the area that has or ripaarian areas and floodplain areas

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to know water contamination

based on several parameters, such as pH, TDS (Total Dissolve Solid), EC

(Electrical Conductivity), and water temperature at Bekasi, West Java. The

random water sampling methods applied at one location in industrial area

and two in residential area or each day within two months. The average

yield for industrial groundwater is: pH 8.19, TDS 194.50ppm, EC 378.75μs,

and temperature 26.61°C. While for residential areas are: pH 8.08, TDS

265.36ppm, EC 435.18μs, and temperature 25.46°C. Based on the data, it can

be concluded that the quality of water in the residential areas and in

Industrial Zone are still feasible for daily consumption. This refers to the
