2018 Hoop-A-Thon | Elementary Friday, March 2 at Trinity Christian School

When: Friday, March 2, 2018 Where: Trinity Christian School gymnasium Who: Pre-K (K3 & K4), 8:15-8.45 a.m. / K5, 8:30-9 a.m.

Elementary (Gr. 1-5), 10-12 a.m. Secondary (Gr. 6-12), 1-2:30 p.m.

Elementary Hoop-A-ThonOur Hoop-A-Thon is a fun, one-day, school-wide fundraising event that benefits Trinity Christian School’s general fund. Leading up to the day of Hoop-A-Thon (March 2), students collect sponsors on a per-basket pledge or one-time donation basis in order to participate. On the day of the event, students join their classmates to shoot basketball hoops and/or hula-hoop for a 5-minute period. Pledges per basket or minutes hula-hooped are then calculated for a total donation, and students are encouraged to follow up with their sponsors to collect any outstanding donations. Throughout the event, students are encouraged to do their best and have fun! “Let's Go Warriors”

Parent Support To students gathering sponsors, please use the official Hoop-A-Thon “Sponsor Me” form and complete all information requested. All donations from student Hoop-A-Thon sponsors may be collected prior to the event and returned with the sponsor form. Students may also choose to follow up with sponsors after the Hoop-A-Thon event if sponsors choose to donate after the event.

NEW! Sponsors may also submit their one-time donations or pledge totals online by visiting TCSWV.org/HoopAThon2018 and clicking “Donate.” Please be sure sponsors leave a memo in the special instructions section with the Student Name and Grade of whom they sponsor. Our goal as a school is for each student to gather a minimum of 5 sponsors at $10 each, or $50 total in sponsorships. If all our students and families work together in gathering sponsors, we can reach our goal of $15,000 to benefit Trinity’s mission and student programs!

Please help your child to submit their sponsorship forms in by Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in order to participate. Forms can be submitted to the student’s teacher.

Prizes! Students must gain sponsorship in order to participate. To be eligible for a prize, students MUST turn in their sponsor form by Wednesday, February 28 at noon and submit sponsorship money by Friday, March 16, 2018. Incomplete submissions will affect eligibility for prizes.

Prize Categories: ● Highest number of sponsors gathered: $50 cash● Most money raised: $50 cash● Most baskets made: $50 cash● Hula-Hoop winner: $50 cash (all who complete the 5 minutes are entered into a draw)● Any student who turns in $100+ by Friday, March 16, 2018 will receive a dress down pass!

Other Ways to Support 2018 Hoop-A-Thon ● Pep Packs: For just $15, your students will receive a Hoop-A-Thon t-shirt, a Trinity bracelet, a

temporary tattoo, and a Warriors rally towel! Pep Packs will be handed out to students on the day of the event, so they can join the school in wearing the Hoop-A-Thon t-shirt for the day!

● Holla for a Dolla: For just $1 each, you can send a note of encouragement to your child, that will be announced as your child shoots!

● Cheer Them On!: Join us in the gymnasium to cheer on our students to success! No admission is required to attend.

Pep Pack Order Form 2018 Hoop-A-Thon

Friday, March 2 at Trinity Christian School

Hoop-A-Thon pep packs are back! This pack will equip students will everything they need to cheer on their classmates as they shoot hoops and hula hoop! Pep packs are just $15 each.

Please complete the information below if you would like your child to receive a 2018 Hoop-A-Thon Pep Pack. Order forms must be returned to your child’s elementary teacher or homeroom teacher by Wednesday, February 14 (Valentine’s Day!) to guarantee your child a pep pack. Checks are made payable to “Trinity Christian School,” memo “Hoop-A-Thon.”

Pep packs will be delivered to students who ordered them on Hoop-A-Thon day, Friday, March 2 via their teachers or homeroom teachers. If you have any questions, please email kmorgan@tcswv.org.
