“ G o m b e " i s a t r a d i t i o n f o l l o w e d i n homes of Karnataka. Dolls of God and Goddessesare displayed. Stories from our puranaas andhistory are also displayed. The entire familycomes together to put forth something creativeevery year. Friends, neighbours and relatives are invited home to view the dolls. Our schoolis one big family. Children brought traditionaldolls from their homes which were very artistically displayed.

Std XI and XII Trip to Shaklespura Date : 2nd & 3rd October, 2018

Following exams, students of Std XI and XII of our school enjoyed a visit to the beautiful plantation-dotted hills of Shaklespura. Lasting 2 days and 1 night, this tech-free tripwas found to be truly enjoyable, a once- in a school-life experience....

CBSE South Zone Skating Competition

Trupti. B , Samakya, Aditi had been to South Zone speed skating competition held at Yak Public School, Maharashtra from 9th October,2018 to 12th October,2018. Samakya and Adithi qualified for quarter finals. Trupti scored Gold in 1000 mts competition, Silver in 500 mts competition and has qualified to take part in National level speed skating competition.Congrats Trupti!!

CBSE South Zone Handball Tournament Date: 11th to 15th October, 2018

11 boys from SSRVM, Bangalore North travelledto Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan in Vishakapatnam to test their athletic mettle against 2000 players from across 6 states and4 union territories. The dedication and passion of the youngstersfor the sport of Handball paved way for them to go as far as thequarter finals. The event which lasted from 11/10/2018 – 15/10/2018. The team, while unseasoned (this was their 1st Handball tournament) put up an impressive performance, through raw dedication and intensive practice. SSRVM’s squad of Aditya, Arush, Bhargava, Bhuvan, Karan, Kathik, Kunal, Hitesh, Tejas, Pranav and Surya brought pride and recognition to the school.

Co-Curricular Activity – Quiz on Ramayana

STD III to X Date: 26th October, 2018

It is a custom of our school to emphasize on value-basededucation including epics, traditions and ethics in our day to day curriculum. Focusing on this aspect, the quiz was conducted in our school on one of the most ancient and immortal epic- Ramayana. Ramayana is a life story of Rama, the 7th Incarnation of Lord Vishnu. A preliminaryround was conducted on 25th Oct, 2018 for the students of Std III to X. Students who came out with flying colours were selected for the final round, which was conducted on 26th Oct, 2018 in the school auditorium. Quiz is the time to bring out spontaneity of oneself. The final round was a Quiz which was very tricky yet interestingand in depth. Most of the questions were taken from thenooks and corners of the Ramayana. The audience wereawestruck at the amazing replies that were shot-forthwithin seconds. Such type of activities based on our country’s glory will help us to recall from time to time the heritage, culture, traditions………. and help us to preserve them and cherish with pride for all times to come.

Co-Curricular Activity – Recycling at its best Std I and II

Creativity is a gift of the divine. Recycling waste is one such creative craft activity which is environment friendlyand creates useful objects from waste products. This makesthe students aware of the uses of material. Students learn to reduce the waste to save the Earth for our future, very cautiously. Students made very creative and innovative things like wall hangings, pen stand, lamp, car running with balloon, etc. from different wastes. “Recycling at its best” activity help children to develop their fine motor skills. Students realised the fact that nothing can actually be termed as “WASTE”. Everything can be utilised and can be made useful.

Students of Std II were taken for a field trip on 30/10/2018 to PRANI-Pet Sanctuary. Students were allowed to feel and feed the animals. All the animals were very friendly. Instructors and caretakers helped the students to understand more about animals. They explained about each animal in detail. They stressed on the value that we should respect animals and birds and take care of them. Students saw different species of birds and rodents. They were very eager to learn about these. Overall the experience was wonderful and memorable.
