2018 SOCCER CHAMPIONS COACHES' CLINIC AT THE MOHEGAN SUN CONVENTION CENTER - UNCASVILLE, CT

Welcome to the 2018 Soccer Champions Coaches’ Clinic at Mohegan Sun!

This weekend, we honor one of America's top coaches and our dear friend, Tony DiCicco. Tony was passionate about coaching education. He loved to coach – both his players and other coaches – and he was extremely good at it. He had a special way of connecting with everyone he met, and he shared his knowledge generously. He was a World Cup and Olympic Champion Coach, the Director of Goalkeeping for United Soccer Coaches, and one of the founders of this Coaches’ Clinic. Tony also was an incredibly devoted husband and father. He was one of those remarkable people who found a balance between succeeding at the highest level, while always being there for his family. We miss him and think of him often; and we thank him for the difference he made in so many peoples' lives, including ours.

We hope that, in the spirit of Tony DiCicco, you all will connect with one another and share your knowledge generously this weekend. After all, this clinic provides more than three days of coaching education; it provides a chance to exchange ideas and learn from each other. Some of the world’s very best soccer clinicians will be here to share and connect with you, including: Tab Ramos, Amanda Cromwell, Bobby Muuss, Becky Burleigh, Willie McNab, Ian Barker, Ronnie Schneider, Lisa Cole, Mario Prata, and Ian Mulliner.

We are proud of the curriculum we have designed, which addresses the needs of coaches of all levels. We appreciate the support of our partners, including adidas, United Soccer Coaches, U.S. Soccer, the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association, Massachusetts Youth Soccer, and Mohegan Sun. And we are excited to provide you with three new coaching education offerings: the United Soccer Coaches' Advanced Technical Training Diploma; the United Soccer Coaches' Integrating GKs into Team Training Special Topics Diploma; and the brand new U.S. Soccer Grassroots Licenses. In addition, we are once again offering the Soccer Champions Developing Positive Leadership Course.

We have further improved our Event App this year, making critical clinic information conveniently accessible on a range of devices. And once again this year, we will videotape our sessions and make them available for purchase shortly after the clinic (with an exclusive rate for you, our clinic attendees).

2018 U.S. Soccer Grassroots 7v7, 9v9 & 11v11 Licenses Course Schedule

Administered by the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association and the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association

We are pleased to offer the U.S. Soccer Grassroots Licenses to our attendees. To earn your 7v7, 9v9 & 11v11 Licenses (three licenses), you MUST:

Create your personal profile in U.S. Soccer's Digital Coaching Center, watch the "Introduction to Grassroots Coaching" video, and register for each of three licenses utilizing the special links and codes we have provided you. Once you have registered, you'll then see the Course Details page for each course & you'll need to complete the online "Concussion Awareness/Prevention & Care Module."

Attend ALL required U.S. Soccer Grassroots 7v7, 9v9 & 11v11 License sessions at the Soccer Champions Coaches' Clinic as listed BELOW and attend any of the general clinic sessions assigned by your instructors. Please listen carefully on Thursday night as your course instructors will outline your road map for the next couple of days.

Finally, your course instructors from CJSA and MYSA will outline when and where they will be taking attendance. It is critical that you check-in for sessions as directed to earn your licenses.
