URGENT NEEDSErvin, a ten-year-old boy in Nicaragua, loved to watch his neighbor climb trees and trim them. One day he decided to climb a tree just like he had seen his neighbor do. But it wasn’t as easy as it looked. Ervin fell and broke his arm!

Ervin’s mom and dad didn’t have money to get his arm fixed, so they let it heal without a cast. His arm became crooked, and he wasn’t able to use it properly. Then Ervin’s family got some money from CAM’s Special-Needs-Fund to do surgery on the arm. Some doctors fixed Ervin’s broken arm, and he is healing up!

2,000 POUNDSOF MUSTARD!Jesus said that when a mustard seed is planted, it grows up to be greater than all herbs. Shahidul in Bangladesh experienced that firsthand. He is part of a SALT savings group that collectively saves money so members can take out loans and start small businesses. Shahidul took out a loan of $62 and purchased mustard seeds and supplies to start a large-scale gardening project.

The tiny seeds grew and flourished. Then harvest time arrived. He gathered 2,000 pounds of mustard and made a profit of $235 USD! In Bangladesh, that is a significant sum of money and will make a big difference for Shahidul and his family.

Biblical Anabaptist teaching for national church leaders Many pastors in Haiti and other countries are doing the best they can to lead their congregations but have little access to Bible resources and teaching. That’s why 120 pastors are on the waiting list to come to CAM’s Biblical Discipleship Center in Haiti where they find fellowship and encouragement.

At the center they go through three-week seminars on creation, spiritual warfare, the Christian family, and more. By the time they complete the entire series (six seminars), they have a thorough overview of God’s Word from a Biblical, Anabaptist perspective. Because of requests, we are expanding this program into Liberia and Nicaragua.

At most schools in Liberia, children learn very little. They don’t have textbooks, teachers don’t always show up for class, and bribery is often used for good grades. At two Mennonite, CAM-sponsored schools, almost 300 children are learning in an entirely different environment. They have Bible-based curriculum and godly teachers. Your gift helps a needy pupil attend one of these schools.

Behind the smiling faces of refugee children lie pain and fear—memories of bombs falling, the loss of a parent or sibling, and the trauma of fleeing to a new country. At Christian schools in Lebanon, the children soak up the love and security from their Christian teachers. Many refugee children still do not have a school to go to. You can help a refugee child go to a school where they will learn about Jesus.

After losing their home to a disaster, people often look to insurance, FEMA (federal government funds), non-profit organizations, and personal loans for help to rebuild. But many find they are grossly underinsured, do not qualify for loans, or cannot get enough FEMA funds. They simply cannot come up with quite enough money to complete their houses.

Your gift helps someone who still needs things like siding or roofing materials, so our volunteers can complete their house. You can also supply building materials to construct a complete house.
