Thank you! Our banquet raised more than $216,000… the most we’ve raised in more than five years. With this provision from the Lord, we have been able to start 2019 strongly and specifically tackle two of the projects we shared at the banquet. In February, our two newest staff nurses were able to get the training they need to perform ultrasounds on a daily basis. We have needed to provide this training for almost a year, and because of YOUR generous support, we were able to make it happen. We are thankful that we are back to being able to provide ultrasounds on demand for women who come in who are the most vulnerable to abortion. In fact, one of the nurses who went through the training shared with me that on her FIRST ultrasound she got to do by herself, she had a client who was planning to have an abortion. The client had one abortion in her past, and no one in her life was supporting her in the pregnancy—all the voices she could hear were encouraging her to terminate. When the nurse did the ultrasound, the client saw the heartbeat and was brought to tears. She is now choosing life for her baby! Praise the Lord—we are thankful to have our full nursing staff trained for this valuable skill. Ashley Dean and Julia Smith are our two newest nurses who went through the training for limited obstetrical ultrasound in February. Your support made that possible—thank you! At the beginning of the year we were able to launch an online campaign that will help optimize our presence on Google, so that, over time, when a woman searches for an abortion in Montgomery, our center will be at the top of her results. This takes time, resources, and intentional effort, but we are moving in that direction with search engine optimization. Thank you for helping make this possible! a celebration of life ANNUAL FUNDRAISING BANQUET FIRST CHOICE WOMEN’S MEDICAL CENTER 11| 15| 18

2018 Banquet Update

At our banquet last fall, we laid out some specific needs for our ministry growth, and you, our faithful supporters, answered the call to give. Thank you! Our banquet raised more than $216,000… the most we’ve raised in more than five years. With this provision from the Lord,

we have been able to start 2019 strongly and specifically tackle two of the projects we shared at the banquet.

Baby Pictures

We love when clients stop by with their babies, and we wanted to share some recent pictures with you! Thank you for helping these moms choose life and for empowering us to support them in that decision.

Kiwanis GrantWe are excited to share that we were selected as recipients for a grant from the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery. This club is always so generous in the way they invest in organizations that help young people across the River Region. This year they gave away $339,000 to support more than 20 organizations in 2019. We are thankful for the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery!

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday was in January, and several local churches put their pro-life beliefs into action by participating in our Baby Bottle Boomerang project. We are thankful to the following churches who filled up our bottles with coins, bills, and checks, and together raised more than $5,500 for our ministry!

If you think your church or group might be interested in doing this project, we’re launching it again for Mother’s Day, or you can decide what time frame is best for you! It’s such an easy project and is a practi-cal way to call people to action for LIFE!

Hope GroupWe are thankful to see more women at our center who have experienced abortions in their past and who are now seeking healing. Our HOPE group post-abortion ministry is focused on helping these women walk through a process of forgiveness and restoration through Christ. We offer groups throughout the year (completely confidential) and will be offering another Door of Hope Retreat weekend later in the summer. Contact Kathy for more info if you know someone who would benefit from this! ([email protected])

For a Christmas party, the women from Calvary Baptist hosted a baby shower for First Choice.

Ladies from Eastern Hills Baptist had a shower for the “three Bs” that we needed most: Bibs, Bottles, and Baby Towels!
