Course Description and Target Audience
The Ware-Dunn Society and the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology are pleased to offer the 2018 Advances in Obstetrics and Gynecology Conference in Richmond, Virginia, at the Kontos Medical Sciences Building.
The program has been designed for obstetrician-gynecologists, Ob/Gyn nurse practitioners, family practitioners and primary care providers in clinical practice in Virginia and nearby states. This one-day program will provide an intense update on current health policy, health care in the U.S., marijuana use in pregnancy, obesity, care of the transgender child and adolescent, incorporating evidence into your surgical practice, induction of labor and risk of cesarean delivery, opioid use disorder in pregnancy, what every Ob/Gyn should know about vasectomies and hemorrhoids in pregnancy and beyond.
Accreditation and Credit
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of VCU Health Continuing Medical Education and the Ware-Dunn Society. VCU Health Continuing Medical Education is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Physicians: VCU Health Continuing Medical Education designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Parking
Parking is available at The Children’s Pavilion, 1000 East Board Street. Enter the Children’s Pavilion on 10th Street at the Drop-Off and Self-Park Entrance. After parking, take the yellow parking elevators to the Ground floor and exit the Children’s Hospital via the breezeway.
Registration
The course registration fee is $200.00 for physicians, and $100.00 for physicians-in-training (letter of residency verification must accompany registration fee) and other health care professionals. The registration fee includes tuition, parking, continental breakfast, coffee breaks and lunch. Online registration preferred at www.cme.vcu.edu (using Google Chrome). Mail Registration Form and Check to: Registrar/UHS-PEP, Inc., Box 980048, Richmond, VA 23298-0048.
All registrations include a NONREFUNDABLE $60 administrative fee. To receive tuition refund, less the administrative fee, WRITTEN NOTICE OF CANCELLATION must be on or before January 26, 2018.
