The shipment is part of an agreement signed in August this year and underscores the ongoing expansion of Mynaric’s business in the US market. “Mynaric is a front-runner in wireless laser communications for the aerospace market and the application of our products in ABWN’s upcoming test demon- strates the broad field of applicability and enormous potential of our technolo- gy,” says Dr. Markus Knapek, Board Member of Mynaric. Mynaric’s innovative airborne wireless laser communications technology is to be integrated into ABWN’s patented proposed Infinitus Super Highway™. ABWN’s next step is to conduct a two-plane test utilizing two Cessnas or equivalent planes to further demonstrate the ability of aircraft to act as airborne repeat- ers/routers - actively sending and receiving broadband signals from one aircraft to another. its US business. Mynaric USA will focus on the evolving US commercial and gov-ernment markets. The company will operate as an independent subsidiary under the US management of Joe Fehrenbach (CEO) und Mike Soutullo (CTO). Mynaric USA will establish its own engineering as well as manufacturing capabilities and already runs significant projects with commercial customers. About Mynaric

Mynaric is a manufacturer of laser communication technologies used to estab-lish dynamic communication networks in air and space. Its wireless laser data transmission products include ground stations and flight terminals, which allow very large quantities of data to be sent wirelessly over long distances between aircrafts, autonomous drones, high altitude platforms, satellites and the ground at high data rates.

Globally, the need for fast and ubiquitous network connectivity is advancing in-exorably. Data networks are today largely based on infrastructure on the ground, which cannot be expanded arbitrarily for legal, economic or logistical reasons. The future therefore calls for an expansion of the existing network in-frastructure into air and space. With its wireless laser communication products Mynaric is positioned as a prime pioneer in this growth market.

About Airborne Wireless Network

ABWN intends to create a high-speed broadband airborne wireless network by linking aircraft in flight, called the Infinitus Super Highway™. ABWN expects that each aircraft participating in the Infinitus Super Highway™ network will act as an airborne repeater or router, sending and receiving broadband signals from in-flight and ground stations, creating a digital information superhighway in the sky. ABWN intends the Infinitus Super Highway™ network to be a high-speed broadband internet pipeline to improve coverage and connectivity. ABWN does not intend to provide retail customer coverage to end users, but, instead, act as a wholesale carrier with target customers, such as internet service and tele-communication providers. Currently, the world's connectivity is achieved by use of satellites, undersea ca-bles and ground based fiber, among other sources. ABWN believes that the ABWN's Infinitus Super Highway™ may be a solution to fill the world's connectiv-ity void and enhance the world’s connectivity. Once the Infinitus Super High-way™ network is developed and fully implemented, it may provide low cost, high-speed connectivity to rural areas, island nations, ships at sea, oil platforms, commercial and private aircraft in flight, in addition to internet service providers and telecommunication providers.
