procedures. Set up Evacuation and emergency procedure drills and assist throughout the process.

Assuring all environmental and safety compliance regulations are followed. Overseeing and assisting with a craft voice in safety program where craft are mentored into taking a key role

Training, managing and overseeing safety of crews and subcontractors working 7 day 12 hour shift, representative work force of up to 50 craft.

Performed weekly safety walks with owners and project team and prepared formal documentation of findings and corrective measures.

Performed new Hire Orientation and Safety trainings for craft and staff. Managing Safety budget and PPE inventory and distribution. Assisted project team with Incident management, Case management and root cause analysis. Monitored, coached and assisted with, Work Plans, Job Hazard Analysis, Personal Safety Minders, Tool Box

talks. The project consisted of floating in a natural gas processing module from KOS, unloading it from a barge to

dry land and then welding it in place. Miscellaneous work included pile driving steel pile, adding new piping, welding and grading.

Unique aspects include working in and around live natural gas pipes and welding on live natural gas pipes.

GIWW, USACE /Belle Chasse, LaSite Safety Health Officer for this $1 Billion Pump Station project, responsible for:

Training, managing and safety oversight of crews and subcontractors working multiple shifts with a total workforce of up to 750 craft.

Performed new hire orientation and safety trainings as required. Reviewed Work Plans, Permits, and Job Hazard Analysis with crews and coached and mentored in the

proper execution as needed. Organized and Translated Mass Safety Meetings, Tool Box talks and Safety trainings as required. Performed daily field observation walks, coached and mentored craft on safety issues seen in the field. Assisted Project team with Case management, incident investigation and Root Cause analysis process. Assisted with implementing a safety incentive program as well as managing the safety program budget. Army Core of Engineers Project The project consisted of the construction of a 13 Bay Pump Station, building a cofferdam into the Belle

Chasse canal, dredging, building a 10’ tall 2 mile wall over and across water and reconstructing over 1 mile of levee. Unique aspects included largest pump station in the world, a budget of 1.2 Million man hours, over 92,000 CY of concrete, over 2,100,000 CY of excavation & embankment, marine work, 8100 tons of rebar, 15 Crawler Cranes in close proximity, over 2,600 Driven Pile, and 2000 Lf of sheet pile.

Duke Energy/Morganton, NC Project Safety Manager for this $10 Million Power Station project responsible for:

Training, managing and overseeing safety of crews and subcontractors with a total workforce of up to 50 craft.

Design, Implement and update a Project Safety plan. Review permits, Work Plans, Job Hazard Analysis Champion Monthly Mass Safety Meetings Assist project team with Case Management, Incident Management and Root Cause analysis. Progress Energy/St. Petersburg, Fla Field Engineer for this $ 42 Million duct bank installation project responsible for:

Manage environmental subcontractors. Quality assurance for duct bank and excavations. Accuracy of work performed by crew. Assist superintendent with assuring work built to plans and specifications. Assist Superintendent with, quantity recaps, scheduling, and cost vs. budget. Double check on take offs, quantities, ST&S as well as support crew with all field needs to perform work. Create RFI’s and submittals as required.

Assist Superintendent with 3 week look ahead as well as crew management in the field. Assist with estimating and takeoffs for new work and change orders. Army Core of Engineers Project This project consisted of the installation of 4.5 miles of 4x4 duct bank from power plant to substation.

Installation included trenching/excavation, incasing in concrete, and backfilling. Unique aspects included 8 crane pick, bore & installation of 36” case-on pipe under 3 main St. Petersburg

highways.

Sand Hill Turf/Candor North Carolina (Non Kiewit) Project Superintendent for this $250 Thousand Sod renovation operation for the Country club of Virginia responsible for:

Direct oversight of 12 man crew Operation management and logistics of material and equipment Quality Control and Safety Schedule work around general Contractor (ASPEN) to stay on schedule and on budget. Monitor and document change orders, quantity changes and new work to be estimated. Manage time cards, pay checks and living arrangement for crews. In charge of coaching, mentoring and motivation the team. Unique aspect of project was the fast pace aggressive schedule. Tripled margin on operation finishing project on time and well under budget with no injuries or quality

issues.
