Speed Hump Installation Procedure
Wheel Stop Installation Procedure
ASPHALT1. Lay out speed humps into position using a string line or chalk
2. Drill the holes approximately 45mm deep using a 10mm drill bit
3. Tap in road spike with sledge hammer and dolly into rebated hole
CONCRETE
1. Lay out speed humps into position. Using a string or chalk is recommended
2. Drill the holes approximately 20mm deep using a 10mm drill bit
3. Remove dust from holes. Tap fasteners in.
4. Wind in fixing securely using socket wrench.
ASPHALT1. Position wheel stop according to AS/NZ2890.1:2004 (See below )
2. Drill holes approximately 50mm deep.
3. Drive road spike fasteners in using a sledge hammer making sure the head of the fasteners is driven into the rebated hole.
CONCRETE USING FIXING
1. Position wheel stop according to AS/NZ2890.1:2004 (See below )
2. Drill holes approximately 100mm deep using a 12mm masonry bit.
3. Remove dust from holes, Tap fastener in.
4. Wind in fixing securely using socket wrench.
CONCRETE USING ADHESIVE
1. Position wheel stop according to AS/NZ2890.1:2004 (See below )
2. Mark desired position and roll wheel stop onto its back.
3. Spread adhesive around all ground contact point of wheel stop.
4. Place into position and apply pressure.
5. Leave undisturbed for 24 hours before use. Full cure is 7 days
Note: Adhesive can also be used for fixing method along with fasteners
