We hosted The Venerable Bean Bakery’s Gluten-Free Tasting Dinner on the 16 th of September. Twenty members of the community joined us for a night of delicious food and great company. Board Meeting

This month’s board meeting will be

held at 6:30pm on October 30th right

here at the Co-Op! All co-op

members are encouraged to attend.

Over the next few months, we will be using grant funding to purchase a new meat freezer. We will

also be expanding the personal care and supplements section of the store! Our hope is to

add a pet and baby department in the near future. Please put any product recommendations

in the suggestions box!

Local Product Spotlight

Allergy season is upon us so and we

have you covered with Me & My

Bees Raw Honey! It is our most

local raw honey, made in

Kingwood, WV. We sell many

different products such as 12 oz. &

3 lb. bottles, beeswax lip balm, and

a limited supply of raw honey in the

comb!

October is Co-Op Month!

Help us celebrate co-op month by supporting some of our

favorite co-ops we work with.

It's that time again! We are now taking holiday turkey orders! This year

we are offering Heritage Turkeys from Stemple Brothers Farm in Terra

Alta,WV. Turkeys will come in fresh (never frozen!) on Sunday

November 19th and must be picked up by 8:00pm on Monday the 20th.

Orders will be limited, and on a first come first serve basis. Estimated

average turkey weights are 13-18lbs and are priced at $4.55/lb. A $35.00

deposit is required when you place your order. To place an order call the

store at 304-291-6131 or see a cashier at the registers.

MEMBERSHIP BENIFITS

We have update the benefits! We now offer a student membership at every tier!

We are proud to say that as of October 2017 we have 680+ active members/owners.

If you are not familiar with co-ops, here is how it works. We are owned, run, and operated by

our members. Anyone can join for as little as $30/year. We are run democratically by a board.

Our board is elected by the members, from the members. We have a president, vice president,

historian, treasurer, and regular board members (nine in total). The board meets once a month to

discuss pressing issues. Everyone is welcome at these meetings.

We offer a tiered membership structure to strengthen business and pass additional savings to the

community.

1st Tier Membership

$30/year or $20/year with valid student ID

5% off storewide on Wednesday and Sundays

15% off special orders

20% off special orders of 5+ cases

2nd Tier Membership

$75/year or $65/year with valid student ID

5% off storewide everyday

20% off special orders

25% off special orders of 5+ cases

3rd Tier Membership

$150/year or $140/year with valid student ID

10% off storewide

25% off special orders

25% off special orders of 5+ cases

All membership discount combine up to 25% off standard retail prices. All memberships

entitle you to our weekly member only sales. We select ~10 items that are 15% off for our

members, these change every week. We encourage all of our members to actively engage in the

community. Come to the meetings, let your voice be heard.
