September 30 Scott Burns Quintet Dutton Concert Barn | 7:30 p.m. Birch Creek Jazz faculty member Scott Burns returns with his quintet to feast our senses with music fresh from the Chicago area jazz scene. From classic greats to contemporary trends, this quintet will leave you wanting more. Sponsored by the Birch Creek Board of Trustees. October 14 A Tribute to Ea Fitzgerald Juniper Hall | 5:30 p.m. Reception with Hors d’oeuvres/Cash Bar | 7 p.m. Concert Jazz Session Faculty members Katie Ernst, vocalist and bassist, and Michael Stryker, pianist, along with tenor sax player, Dustin Laurenzi, will help us celebrate the centennial year of Ella Fitzgerald, as we pay tribute to “The First Lady of Swing” with a program of jazz standards. Sponsored by the Birch Creek Associates. December 2 Christmas Around the World Birch Creek Faculty Brass & Percussion with Handbell Choir and Carol Sing Juniper Hall | 2:30 p.m. Family Concert and Juniper Hall | 7 p.m. Evening Concert Birch Creek’s Symphony Session Brass and select Percussion Faculty, along with the Sister Bay Moravian Church Handbell Choir, (7 pm only) will return for a celebration of the holidays with song selections from around the world. A Carol Sing will be led by vocalist Cynthia Stiehl. Sponsored by the Birch Creek Board of Trustees, the Tannenbaum Holiday Shop and Door County Medical Center.
