There's the Lincoln Heritage House: a double log house crafted in part by Abraham Lincoln's father, Thomas Lincoln. The Grayson County 4-H and FFA Ag Fair comes to the Grayson County Agricultural Recreation Park on Caraway Road in Leitchfield each July featuring farm and youth events and exhibits such as tractor driving contests, homemaker exhibits, and sheep, hog, horse, dairy and beef shows. Rough River Dam

The park is located near the dam creating a 4,860 acre lake. Rough River Dam SRP offers some of the finest opportunities for fishing and water sports in the state. The park includes a 40-room lodge and 17 cottages. There is a 167-seat dining room, two conference rooms, swimming pool, gift shop, and boat marina. The park is served by a 3,200 ft. paved/lighted airstrip, miniature golf course and a nine-hole par three golf course. A public beach is maintained on the lake. Yellowbank Wildlife Park

Steep to moderate sloping woodlands, hardwood forest, and flat river bottom farmlands compose this state-operated facility. Several miles of maintained roads in area, miles of old roads for hiking and sightseeing. Self-guided demonstration area on tract 3 features habitat types, prairie grasses, and wetlands. Rabbit, quail, squirrel, dove, raccoon, grandhog, deer, turkey, and some waterfowl inhabit the area.

Fishing in area ponds and a ramp on Yellowbank Creek provide access to Ohio River. There is a waterfowl refuge along the Ohio River. A walking archery course is available for practice shooting. Information and maps available at check station. Call 270-547-6856

MEADE COUNTY The Brandenburg City Park spans the width of the downtown area, and includes a small playground for children, a checkers/chess table, and picnic tables. The view of the River is breathtaking here, with the Indiana shoreline and the Matthew Welch Bridge in the background. Counting the barges on the passing towboats makes for a relaxing afternoon. A Gazebo in the park hosts occasional concerts on the weekends.

Two boat ramps are available in the downtown area, with a large parking lot for cars and boat trailers at the Flippins Run Par area adjacent to the City Park. There are also soccer fields at Flippins Run, and the entrance to the Buttermilk Falls Historic Trail is between the two parks.

Otter Creek Park A City of Louisville park located within Meade County, Otter Creek comprises 3600 acres and offers many interactive opportunities for outdoor recreation.
