Goats can be checked in on Friday night and be stalled until Sunday after the show.

SHOW RULES
All goats entered in the show must be registered with the MSFGA and a copy of the MSFGA registration paper must accompany the entry form for each goat entered in the show. Each show will be a sanctioned qualifying Championship show. Each Champion win, where at least 5 goats were entered in the division, qualifies as a leg toward a Master Champion. Three Champion legs qualify for Master Champion status. At least one leg must be earned after the goat is 18 months old. All MSFGA Master Champions being exhibited in the show must enter in the Best in Show class, where they will compete with Grand Champion winners from the four divisions. Mini Silkies of any age may be entered in the show. All goats MUST NOT exceed the maximum allowed height for bucks and does as stated in the MSFGA breed standard. Have your goats checked in and their height measured and Health papers checked way BEFORE the show begins! The Sept. 9, 2017 and Sept. 10, 2017 shows will be run under MSFGA rules and regulations. The Miniature Silky Fainting Goats attending the shows will be scored according to the MSFGA Standard and Score Sheet and guidelines. Tattoos must be easily legible
Early Arrival and Check In
Early Arrival can begin on Thursday September the 7th, from 4:00pm till 8:00pm and on Friday Sept. 8th. Goats can be checked in on Sept. 9th and 10th, 2017 from 7:00am to 8:00am. Check-In will stop immediately at 8:00 am. If you are not at the Show Secretary's desk by 8:00 am you will not be allowed to check-in or show. Shows will begin at 9:00 am sharp. Goats brought into this facility MUST be entered in a class. Any sales must be off the Show Grounds, and
follow Iowa Regulations on Transporting of Goats.
HEALTH REQUIRMENTS
All goats must have a Health Certificate and show no evidence of infectious disease, and will need to be examined by show management before unloading. Show management will check for signs of abscess, (visible or draining lumps) or any severe snotty noses or bad coughs or loose stool. All goats must show NO evidence of infectious disease. Any signs of these symptoms will keep goat from entering the Show, and will be sent home. Health Certificate issued within thirty days of the show. See link provided below to know what the State of Iowa requires. http://www.iowaagriculture.gov/ Herd Tattoos must be USDA Approved and easily legible. Scrapie Tags are acceptable. You MUST bring an extra copy of your goat's health certificate that will be retained by the show secretary.
Awards
Ribbons will be awarded up to 5th place in all regular and optional classes. Champion and Reserve Champion will be awarded Rosettes. Show Points will not be included on the FUN SHOWS, only 1st-4th place ribbons.
STALLS and BARN The barn has about 50 permanent pens. Each pen is large enough to hold 3-4 goats. (DO NOT OVERCROWD GOATS) It has openings on one end for unloading stock. The other end has a large door to move animals into the show ring. The show ring is covered with seating for 200 people. There is a concrete wash area outside the building. You will need to provide your own bedding of woodchips, hay will NOT be available for purchase at the show. Pen stalls once again will be available at $10.00 per stall. The 4-H students are cleaning stalls, the cost of cleaning stalls will be $5.00 per stall. Note the Entry Form. You must clean out your own stalls before you leave after the show, if you do not wish the students to clean them.
CAMPING There is public camping available on the fairgrounds for with shower and restrooms . $11.00 per day, ($15.00 per day when hooked up to electric pole). To be paid with Entry Fees. Price subject to change without notice. You may not run electric to your camper/car from hog/sheep barn outlets. Entry Fee (per animal) $ 9.00 (per entry) Stalls (animal-one time fee) $10.00 (per stall) * 4-H students are cleaning stalls, the cost of cleaning stalls will be $5.00 per stall. You must clean out your own stalls before you leave after the show, if you do not wish the students to clean them.
Late Fees - Entries postmarked AFTER 8-28-2017 is $9.00 (per goat).

Competition to include all four Champions of the day and Master Champion Miniature
Silky Fainting Goats. Each Champion win, where at least 5 Mini Silkies were entered in the
division, qualifies as a leg toward a Master Champion. Three Champion legs qualify for
Master Champion status. At least one leg must be earned when the Mini Silky is at least 18
months of age. Best in Show winner will be able to count each goat defeated as if it were
entered in its own division in order to qualify as a Champion leg, however a goat can only
earn one Champion leg per show. If you have an MSFGA Master Champion, then this is
the class that you would enter your Master Champion
