Dilatory Progress
Progress should be monitored on a monthly basis Overruns and underruns should be kept up to date as this affects the % complete calculated by Hicams
Dilatory Progress Progress Schedule
Authorized time extensions should be taken into consideration and accounted for and a new progress chart requested if allowed by the specs – extension of the completion date or if overruns are expected to exceed 5% The Division Engineer approves the original Progress Schedule
Dilatory Progress
Revised Progress Schedules that account for authorized time extensions may be approved by the Division Engineer or his delegate. Progress schedules that are revised for reasons other than authorized time extensions are reviewed and approved by the State Construction Engineer

Process – 10% Behind If 5% of the contract time has expired or when a project is 10% behind schedule (by time or money) the Division sends a “Letter of Concern”
Dilatory Progress
Process – 10% Behind The Letter of Concern should establish a meeting between the Division and the Contractor and the contractor should submit a written explanation of how the project completion date will be achieved
Dilatory Progress
Process – 15% Behind If the contractor’s progress then becomes 15% or greater behind schedule, the State Construction Engineer will send a “Show Cause Letter”
Dilatory Progress
Process – 15% Behind A meeting will be held requiring the contractor to provide written explanation of how the project completion date will be achieved and why the contractor should not be removed from the NCDOT Prequalified Bidders List
