Tree-Lighting Ceremony

5:30 p.m. Oswego Village Hall | 100 Parkers Mill

Join Village President Gail Johnson and the Grinch for a traditional tree-lighting turned topsy turvy! See storytelling and live music from several Oswego junior high choirs and a presentation of gifts from Cindy Lou Who before we flip the switch on Oswego’s tree! Stick around Village Hall for free horse-drawn wagon rides, then warm up inside with fireside storytelling, hot cocoa from the Oswego Senior Center, and carols sung around the piano!

Meet the Elves | Say hello to the elves of Physician’s Immediate Care and take home a special Christmas prize!

Pinecone Bird Feeders | Make a pinecone bird feeder and enter a free raffle for a beautiful winter evergreen arrangement, courtesy of the Hilltop Gardeners Garden Club.

Face Painting and VIP Pups | Meet the canine heroes of VIP Service Dogs, get your face pained, and buy fleece blankets, dog toys, treats and more for your special pup.

Reindeer Food | Visit the Kiwanis of Oswego tent where children will get a mini bag to fill with reindeer food for Santa’s reindeer! Sprinkle magic dust and spread it on your front lawn on Christmas Eve. And grab some reindeer food and cancy canes for yourself, too!

A Puppet Christmas Carol | Stop by the Wheatland Salem booth for A Puppet Christmas Carol medley performance, plus a craft for kids and families! Join us for Christmas Eve services at 7 p.m. on Dec. 24!

Make way for a parade of Os-wego Fire Protection District fire trucks lit up and decked out for the holidays! Plus wave to Anna and Elsa, and help the Grinch learn what it means to save Christmas!

Useful Information

Shuttle to the Christmas Walk | Oswego Family YMCA, Oswego Village Hall, Main and Van Buren | Hop on board our holiday trolley school buses at two different locations, the Oswego Family YMCA or Village Hall, to ride down to Main Street. Buses run on a continuous loop to all three locations to move you between event sites and parking. Sponsored by State Rep. Stephanie Kifowit, State Sen. Linda Holmes and Old Second Bank

Nursing Station | Fox River Academy, 26 W. Van Buren | 5-8:30 p.m. | A room will be available for new moms to nurse and feed their babies.

Handicapped Parking | Reserved parking is available along Adams Street near Jackson, and at Village Hall.

Public Restrooms | Indoor restrooms for public use are open at Village Hall and the Oswego Public Library. Portable toilets are also available at Main and VanBuren, and Main and Jefferson. Sponsored by Lakeshore Recycling

Attendees who purchase a tin can visit participating downtown businesses on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to fill their holiday tins with one freshly baked cookie from each shop.

Cookie Walk tins should be purchased in advance. A limited number of tins may be available on Saturday at Floral Expressions only, but are not guaranteed.
