Dear Friends and Colleagues, It is our pleasure to kindly invite you to participate in the new edition of a two-days intensive scientific meeting, which we organize since 2004 at the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli in Rome. This year the event 2017.COM will focus on colorectal cancer surgery, where .COM stands for “Chirurgia Oncologica Mininvasiva” (Minimally Invasive Surgical Oncology). The first day will be devoted to the cutting-edge topic of ERAS protocols in colorectal surgery. Lectures and debates will be both addressing to surgeons aiming to provide best-practice and to anesthesiologists, nutritionists, health-care providers and also patients, in the light of unifying treatments on the functional recovery following surgical procedures.

The second day will focus on the most advanced technical innovations in colorectal surgery, including video presentations from top international and Italian experts in this field. Indeed, we would personally like to thank all the Speakers, Panelists and Discussants who accepted to take part in this meeting. Their participation in this Workshop is not only due to their proficiency and their active role in main International Surgical Societies, but would be and opportunity to demon-strate them our highest regards. We look forward to welcome and host you in Rome next 1st-2nd December 2017.
