Mindframe Education is an innovative learning center, with a focus on STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and advanced academics.

Programs here are personalized, experiential, and fun. Kids learn best when they’re doing something they want to, so we use their innate curiosity and creativity as well as interesting projects and tools to fully engage their minds. They love being here — and we delight in seeing them learn.

Our STEM-focused summer camps for rising grades 1–10 combine fun and learning in one unforgettable experience. Students learn how to think and work like real engineers, scientists, creative designers, and developers. They get to work on cool projects, engage in fun, hands-on activities, and developreal-world products and digital creations.

Full Day Camps: 9am–4pm

} 5 day camp: $395.00} 3 day camp: $275.00} Extended Care available (8am–6pm)

Half Day Camps:} AM Half Day: 9am–12pm} PM Half Day: 1pm–4pm} Price: $275.00

Certain camps have a lab fee of $25, which includes materials and equipment usage.

Summer Camp Family PassPay just $345 for each camp when you purchase 5 or more.

Programming &App Development

Primary-grade students learn basic programming concepts and apply their coding skills by using circuits and robots. Students in higher grades become software developers as they learn to code and design for the web. They design, build, and publish their own mobile apps and websites.

Science

Students learn about science concepts through hands-on experiments, test their hypotheses, and challenge their problem solving abilities.

Robotics &Engineering

In this hands-on track, students of all ages design and build robots, learn about circuits, and work with computer hardware. They learn robotics and engineering concepts, and create real-world products and prototypes. Camps are tailored to the grade level. At the end of camp, students present their creations and demonstrate their skills.

Digital Arts

Younger students are exposed to art basics and use those concepts to create original work like photos and animations. Students in middle and high-school grades develop skills in graphic design, 3D animation and modeling, digital filmmaking, and photography.

Game Design

Beginning students learn how creativity and technology come together to make fun games. Older students dig into the concepts, tools, and technology behind the latest 3D games. Then, they design, build, and play a game of their own.

STEM SUMMER CAMPSCatalog

In all STEM tracks, students learn new skills and create

something awesome. At the end of camp, they take home

their creations and gain a huge sense of accomplishment.

STEM Tracks:

STEM Camps for rising grades 1–3Jr. Maker & Engineering

Students use Snap Circuits to design and construct their own circuits, and Makey Makey to connect simple hardware devices to computers. They’ll participate in hands-on engineering challenges and create their very own interactive games.

Intro to Programming & Robotics

Students learn the basic concepts of programming with Tynker and Scratch, and apply this knowledge in a variety of fun activities including experiencing how programming works with fun easy to use robots.

Jr. Space Camp

In this course, students will become NASA astronauts. They’ll go through astronaut training, design a rocket, learn the characteristics and motion of objects and gravity, and more.

Lets Go! Science

Throughout this camp students will discover how science is involved in everyday life. They’ll build their own balloon cars, lava lamps, hovercraft, and more.

Stop Motion Animation& Photography

Students learn the fundamentals of photography & stop-motion animation. Using these skills, they’ll complete a photo-animation that tells a unique story.

Intro to Digital Arts& Painting

Students get an introduction to the elements of art and principles of design, including color. They are introduced to Adobe Photoshop’s interface and learn the basic tools.

Intro to Game Design

Students get an introduction to Minecraft and Kodu Game Lab. Then, they use the tools to create their own levels, program basic functions and gameplay mechanics, and more. A fun game making experience for all!

Our littlest campers become astronauts, engineers, designers, and scientists, as they use their curiosity and creativity to complete their projects.

Maker & Engineering

Students become makers and engineers as they dig into the basics of electronics, computers, circuits, and robotics. They’ll make a color mixing lamp, automatic nightlight, and sound detector.

STEM Camps for rising grades 4–6

Intro to Movie Making& Video Production

Students learn the concepts of filmmaking, story telling, video editing, and audio mixing. They’ll incorporate their own creative writing, set design, special effects, video, and audio editing techniques into their final projects.

Robotics with LEGOMindstorm EV3

Students learn the basic concepts of robotics: motors, sensors, and gears. They build and program their LEGO robots to tackle a series of fun, exciting challenges throughout the week.

Python Programming& Raspberry Pi

This camp teaches students core concepts in computer science. They’ll create applications and scripts using Python, and understand the inner workings of Raspberry Pi, a single board computer.

Intro to AndroidApp Development

Students build their very own mobile apps using App Inventor. They’ll design and create fully functional and presentable applications forAndroid mobile.

Character Design &Digital Storyboarding

Students learn how to create characters the industry way for comics, cartoons, movies, and television. They’ll create an original character for story design and future animations.

Intro to Programming & Engineering

This camp introduces students to the fundamental programming concepts using Scratch, and refines their skills in logic with coding activities and challenges. They’ll learn how to incorporate devices to interact with their Scratch projects.

3D Modeling & Printing

This course introduces the basic concepts of 3D modeling and printing. Students gain an understanding of Google SketchUp and a 3D workspace, and take home their own 3D printed creations.

Intro to Digital Music

Students learn about different genres, timing, sequencing, and layering involved in the musical production process. At the end of the course, they’ll have at least one original song to take home and share online.

Intro to 2D Animation

Students learn the basic concepts needed to create and animate characters and objects. Students will create animations using traditional and digital tools and techniques.

Students use the latest technologies to create their own 3D games, mobile apps, robots, digital movies and much more. Our STEM camps have something for every child.

Aerospace Camp

In this science camp, students will become astronauts as they learn about the science behind rockets and space travel. They’ll face some of the challenges of living in space, build a rocket, and more.

Forensics/CSI Camp

In this science camp, students will become crime scene investigators as they use their senses to try to catch the criminal. They’ll evaluate a crime scene of their own using first-hand learning experiences and knowledge.

Intro to Minecraft Modding

Students get an introduction to Minecraft modding using MCreator. Students create their own mods and textures, then export the mods to play in their own Minecraft game.

2D Game Design with GameMaker Studio

Students learn the fundamentals of creating a game using GameMaker Studio. They become familiar with in-game language to script their games and build their very own game.

Minecraft Modding& Programming

Students learn hands-on programming of Minecraft mods using Javascript/visual block. They participate in server relay competitions, and create theirown Mods.

Mobile Game Design& Development

Students create sprites, animations, and learn game logic using Flowlab. No prior programming experience is required. Students create their own levels, program basic functions and gameplay mechanics, create & edit terrain, and manipulate user-created characters.

STEM Camps for rising grades 7–10

Python Programming

Students learn core programming concepts using Python, and use it to create simple games and command-line applications, including a tic-tac-toe game, calculator, and simulated bank ATM machine.

Robotics with VEX

Students learn how to build robots to carry out pre-designed challenges and missions using VEX IQ robot kits to design, build, and program a robot that will operate autonomously and with a remote control.

Electrical Engineeringwith Arduino

Students learn the fundamental concepts of electrical engineering with Arduino electronics platform. We’ll build an Arduino piano, a sound detector, and an LED control with pulse-width modulation.

Cyber Security: Encryption & Cryptography

Students learn how to encrypt and decrypt digital contents, and how to implement simple cryptography techniques. They also learn about common Internet threats, and how to detect personal data intrusion.

Web Design & Development

Students learn how to create beautiful and interactive webpages using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Students also learn how to use Twitter’s Bootstrap to quickly create beautiful and responsive websites.

Computer Engineeringwith Raspberry Pi

In this hands-on course, studentslearn programming fundamentalsand basic circuits. They’ll create a color-mixing lamp, an interactive chat bot, and a Hogwarts Sorting Hat.

iOS App Developmentwith Swift

Students learn the process of developing real iPhone and iPad applications and games, and they’ll make their own apps, including a calculator, coin tapper, and animated monster.

3D Game Design with Unity & Oculus VR

Students learn game development from the basic steps to creating complex games, and work in teams to make their very own games from the ground up.

2D Game Design with GameMaker Studio

Students learn the fundamentals of creating a game using GameMaker Studio. They become familiar with in-game language to script their games and build their very own game.

Digital Filmmaking& Special Effects

Students learn advanced concepts of film-making, story telling, video editing, and audio mixing. They incorporate their own creative writing, set design, special effects, video, and audio editing techniques into their final projects.

Java Programming 1

Students learn core programming concepts with Java through Eclipse IDE. They use this knowledge to create a virtual sandwich shop and a library book management system.

Java Programming 2

Students get a refresh on basic programming principles, and learn intermediate Java programming concepts with Eclipse IDE, and apply those skills to create a Tic-Tac-Toe game with AI, hotel reservation system, and personal to-do list.

League of Legends eSports

This course will help students develop the core mechanics, mental discipline, tactical strategy, and critical thinking necessary to become better at oneof the most competitive eSportsgames today.

Intro to Digital Music

Students learn about different genres, timing, sequencing, and layering involved in the musical production process. At the end of the course, they’ll have at least one original song to take home andshare online.

Digital Animation

Students learn the basics of animation, and learn to offer critiques of others’ works. By the end of this course, students will have a short animated cartoon they have created themselves.

Android App Development

Students learn how to create fully functional Android Applications with App Inventor. Activities include creating a calculator, making a Whack-a-Mole game, and making a simplified Paint application.

Intro to Graphic Design

Students are introduced to Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. By the end of this course, students will be able to use each design program to create custom graphics and layouts, and develop the skills needed to create their own mini-magazine.

3D Modeling & Printing

This course introduces the basic concepts of 3D modeling and printing. Students gain an understanding of Google SketchUp and a 3D workspace, and take home their own 3D printed creations.

Digital Photography& Design

Students learn the basics of digital photography, from conceptualization to editing. At the end of the course, students exhibit their work, and reflect on how their vision has progressed.

3D Game Designwith Unreal Engine

Students learn the process of game creation from prototyping to final testing, become familiar with game design theory and 3D game design, and build their very own game.

In our camps, students are not only building expertise in areas with practical value, they are also learning life skills like critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.
