The Centre for Training & Projects Development is accredited by Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA) and registered with Namibia Training Authority (NTA) and the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Republic of Namibia. The CTPD’s international qualifications are internationally recognized and quality assured by The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) and the respective Chartered Examinations Bodies via their Royal Charter status. All programs examined by the Central University of Nicaragua (UCN), and Texila American University are recognized through the Accreditation Service for International Colleges and Universities (ASIC), United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), International Association of Universities and the international handbook of accredited universities published by the United Nations. TAU is also listed in World Health Organization (WHO). ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The following are the minimum basic entry requirements on our levels 2 and 3 qualifications programs. They don’t cover levels 4 and above qualifications entry requirements CATEGORY A: Standard Requirements for Level 2-3 Vocational Qualifications

1) At least 16 and above years of age 2) Minimum of 23 points in six (6) subjects at Grade 10 level OR Level 1

Vocational Qualification 3) Applicants with 25 or higher points in five (5) subjects at Grade 12 or

equivalent with an F in English will be given preference CATEGORY B: Mature Entry for Levels 2- 3 Vocational Qualifications

1) At least 23 and above years of age with grade 10 or 9 level of education 2) Pass the Aptitude Assessment 3) Must be prepared to undertake a three (3) months intensive

Foundation/Bridging Course which does not form part of the actual qualification being registered for

CATEGORY C: Standard Requirements for Levels 4, 5 and 6 Qualifications

1) Applicants must have a Level 3 or 2 Qualification in the related field; OR

2) Applicants must have achieved 25 or higher points in five (5) subjects at Grade 12 or equivalent with an F in English plus five (5) or more years of work experience

3) Applicants with higher passes will be given preference

Our enrollment policy is non-discriminatory and operates on a first come first serve basis depending on availability of places. Prior to commencement of classes, students are required to undergo orientation programme where they are informed of nature of courses, study strategies useful for our types of programs, nature of assessments and examinations, institutional policies and management of the course programs, grievance procedures withdrawal procedures refund procedures and all matters that would be of interest to them during their study period. This induction is carried out during the first week of the semester.

Complete 35 hours of CPD activity annually (1 July - 30 June) for a minimum of two consecutive years and record your activities on your CPD record card for the relevant period each year. You must hold either Member (MCIM) or Fellow (FCIM) grade to be eligible for Chartered Marketer status. However, you can start undertaking your CPD activity at any grade of membership. Submit your record card with supporting evidence by the annual deadline for each of the two consecutive years (we cannot accept two years of CPD submitted together). If you are not a Member (MCIM) or Fellow (FCIM) at the end of your second consecutive year, you can apply for an upgrade. You must obtain the upgrade to MCIM or FCIM by 31st December in order to achieve Chartered Marketer status that year. On meeting these criteria, you will be awarded Chartered Marketer status at the end of the second consecutive CPD year. You will also be added to the Chartered Marketer Directory unless you request otherwise. You will then be issued with a Chartered Marketer certificate to recognize your achievement. STUDENTS’ FUNDING AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT NAMIBIAN STUDENT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FUND (NSFAF)

The mandate of NSFAF in terms of Act 26 of 2000 is to provide financial assistance in the form of loan/grant to eligible students at approved institutions of higher learning and to recover money from beneficiaries upon completion of their studies. To be eligible for NSFAF assistance, applicant should:

Be Namibian citizen Be in good health Have been admitted to/registered for the course which he/she has applied for Have obtained a grade 12 or equivalent qualification or grade 10 certificate in case of vocational training

The following documents must accompany the application:

Birth certificate and or Namibia ID document Verified statement of parental/ income and or if unemployed, declaration made before Commissioner of

Oath by the parents themselves Final examination results for H/IGCSE and or academic record Proof of registration/admission to an approved/recognized institution of higher education

THE CTPD BURSARIES

Bursaries vary in amounts and professions and are given to students in order to further their studies. In return for funding your studies, we will require you to repay them by signing a binding work contract with us preferably in Tutoring or Lecturing areas. Availability of bursaries will depend on needs received from respective CTPD Centres each year and will vary in number per study field. To apply, simply write a bursary application letter giving grounds as to why you must be considered for the bursary opportunity and how giving you the bursary would benefit the CTPD, its stakeholders and the public at large.

THE CTPD SCHOLARSHIPS

A scholarship is a financial award usually given to second, second or third year students based on their outstanding study achievements, discipline and professional conduct. Scholarships are held for up to one year and provide the home tuition fees for these awards, up to the value equivalent to the total cost of the annual study program including tuition, study materials and examinations fees. Scholarships are full-time students and only available to Namibian applicants.

PAYING YOUR FEES

FULL PAYMENT SCHEME International Students should pay their fees in full at the time of enrolment and before starting with classes or being issued with any documentation of registration. Payment is accepted by the following methods: Cheque payments delivered to the chosen centre branch of study Online payments by telegraphic transfer or direct deposit into the bank account of the chosen centre branch of study. PLEASE NOTE: CTPD does not accept cash payments at any of our centres. All cash payments must be deposited into the into the bank account of the chosen centre branch of study

INSTALLMENT SCHEME Before commencement of classes all (except CTPD sponsored and International) students will be required to make the following advance payments on tuition fees: 60% of tuition fees for semester programs with 40% balance being spread for payment in three (3) months period 40% of tuition fees for full year programs with 60% balance being spread for payment in six (6) months period

Proof of payment must be forwarded to the Accounts Department

SPONSORED STUDENTS

Sponsored students must bring original letter of sponsorship from a reputable sponsoring organization. The CPS Team will determine the financial credibility or good standing of such a sponsor and confirm acceptance of the documentation provided prior to commencement of studies.

All students must ensure that their accounts are fully paid up as per above guideline to avoid being handed over to the Attorneys for collection of any outstanding amounts and to be placed on ITC. GRIEVANCIES, WITHDRAW AND REFUNDS POLICY, TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1. I understand that CTPD offers internationally recognized qualifications on the basis that they have good standing in

their countries of origin and not on the basis of their being accredited/recognize by or registered with any local quality

assurance or regulatory agency in Namibia. Student may, however, verify their good standing and levels with NQA;

2. Student Grievances Procedures: I understand and agree that, unless on Centre’s conduct that conflict the State

Laws, procedurally, I’m must first exhaust all the internal avenues of having my compliant/grievance addressed by

CTPD before I can consider turning to any external agency whether examinations body, NQA, court, media or any

other. Student may report any grievances to [email protected] or obtain and complete the Student

Grievance Procedures Form from any CTPD Centre or download it from www.ctpd-namibia.com and e-mail it to the

above e-mail address or to [email protected].

3. Withdraw/Cancellation

a) Any Course Withdrawals or Cancellations must be received by the CTPD Board of Studies (BOS) in writing 5 working days or more prior to the class commencement date. No refund shall be allowed if any withdraw or cancellation is made in less than 5 working days prior to class commencement.

b) Upon submission of the withdraw and/or refund request, student should take responsibility to obtain an official acknowledgement letter.

c) The Board of Studies (BoS) will normally sit once in a month. A BoS’ resolution letter will be issued and sent to the student stating the outcome of the withdraw or refund request to the requesting student 2-3 weeks thereafter.

d) Where refund is approved by the BoS, Registration fee shall not be refundable but Tuition fees (80%) shall be refunded less 20% (of tuition fees) to cover administration fees;

e) Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable; f) Refund payments are made directly to sponsors or student financers who must have paid CTPD for the student’s

studies g) No any refund is made if the student stops attending classes or is suspended from studies due to his/her failure to

comply with the institution rules and regulations. In this case, student shall forfeit any amounts paid to the centre and still remain liable for any outstanding fees;

h) Considering that our qualifications are internationally recognized and accredited in their countries of origin in which they have good standing, no refund shall be made on grounds of the offered course program not being accredited/recognized or registered with any education quality assurance or industry regulatory agency. However, where its proved that any of our such qualifications is not registered, accredited and have no good standing in its country of origin, refund may be approved by the Board of Studies provided that the Student provides evidence that information given to him/her by the CTPD staff responsible for his/her recruitment clearly claimed that such a program was accredited by NQA, NTA, any other agencies, etc.

i) A student shall be automatically de-registered from his/her course program and the institution if she/he does not attend educational work (classes/lectures, assessments or practical lesson/job attachments) without approved sick leave or written pre-approval of the Executive Management Committee or the Board of Studies (BoS) for a consecutive period of ten (10) working days. All the authentic Medical Reports supporting student’s absenteeism from educational work are subject to EMC/BoS’ approval. A de-registered student shall forfeit/lose any fees paid without any further correspondence. Student whose account has unsettled amounts will be pursued until the account is fully settled despite having been declared non-active.

j) A student who is not satisfied with BoS’ resolution regarding refund request may appeal to the Students’ Appeals Board in writing within 5 working days from the date of receiving the outcome.
