PRESENTED BY ALTAIR The 2017 Acura NSX multi-material space frame utilizes new materials and construction methods to achieve unprecedented dynamic rigidity, outstanding outward visibility and world class collision performance, all at the lightest weight possible. The frame includes 23 high rigidity castings, 6 of which are produced by the world’s first automotive application of ablation casting technology. Further light weight applications to the exterior panels include a glass carbon hybrid floor, low density SMC fenders and trunk module, and a magnesium fuel lid.
