BLADEREPAIR & INSPECTIONS COURSE

Level B course

Content / description:

This course is for employees who must be able to assess the extent of a blade laminate damage

and perform surface and finish repairs to damage in the coat and laminate of Siemens blades.

Additionally, the participants will perform casting with epoxy materials in special circumstances

(weather conditions) as well as minor lightning damages, but maximum in three layers depths. The

participants will also be able to extract samples and close the sample area again.

Aim:• Health & Safety Polyester and Epoxy

• Calculate consumptions of materials

• Knows how to make hand lay up

• Has knowledge of infusion

• Has knowledge of various faults and how to correct them

• Can make small scale repair in surfaces and laminate

• Extraction of sample

• Finish repairs at the trailing and leading edge

• Replace Dino tails and Vortex generators

Competencies:Upon completion, the participants will be certified:

• In accordance with Danish environmental regulation to work with materials which contain

epoxy and isocyanides.

• To repair blade damages in accordance with level B damages.

Target group:The training is intended for customers and 3rd parties whose duties include repair of complicated

blade damages.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

PARTICIPATION IN AMU EDUCATION

Before course start you have to bring working cloth for indoor and safety shoes.

Campus will be open Sunday 6:00 pm. Staff will be there until 9:00 pm do you arrive later you can

find your name on a board in the hall.

Course start at 8:00 am. to 3:25 pm. and the last Friday to 10:00 am.

Nearest airport is Billund about 1 hour drive from Ribe. Connections with bus or rental car.
