THE SELF-AWARE LEADERMost good managers have sound product knowledge or technical skills, the ability to manage relationships and the motivation to succeed. But exceptional managers are also self-aware: they know their own strengths and weaknesses and are able to understand how their emotions and actions affect other people. Get the skills you need to build self-awareness and learn strategies that will help you manage your emotions and make a positive impact as a leader.

THE PERSONALLY EFFECTIVE LEADERPersonally effective people make good use of their resources (such as time, skills, talents and energy) and are skilled at achieving their goals. As such, they’re often excellent leaders. In this workshop we’ll show you how to manage multiple priorities and maximise your day-to-day interactions so you can create and sustain a highly productive level of personal effectiveness. You’ll leave with practical tools that will help you take control of your working week and a short to mid-term personal plan.

THE RESILIENT LEADERAs responsibility increases, so does pressure and complexity – and in an environment of rapid change, our ability to cope with adversity and stress strongly affects how we succeed. Resilient leaders learn from failure and are able to take positive action to move forward. Learn tips and techniques to self-manage anxiety and stress, and create a resilience plan that will help you bounce back from setbacks and thrive in high-pressure environments.

THE COURAGEOUS LEADERHaving the confidence to manage tough conversations and conflict is an essential leadership skill. Your approach can make or break relationships and determine decisions and their outcomes. Take a close look at why some conversations are more difficult than others, get to know your typical response to conflict, and arm yourself with the skills to navigate all manner of courageous conversations for a positive result.

BUILDING AND LEADING TEAMS Everyone brings their own unique talents, strengths and personalities to a team. Whether you’re putting a new team together or developing an existing one, it can be a real challenge to get everyone to contribute productively. It’s much easier when you understand how groups develop and you have a plan in place. Learn how to change your approach at each stage of your team’s development and help them become effective more quickly by applying Lencioni’s model – ‘Five Dysfunctions of a Team.’

INFLUENCING OTHERSInfluencing others is an important part of working at a senior level, regardless of the role. Every business professional needs to be able to engage with people and get their buy-in and approval on ideas, opinions and decisions. Learn to recognise which influencing style is required in different situations and develop strategies that will help you achieve the outcome you desire.

FEEDBACK FOR RESULTSFeedback plays a critical role in improving workplace performance. Effective feedback enables an individual to change and is a crucial part of improving individual and team performance. This workshop focuses on the one-on-one conversations held between managers and their direct reports. You’ll get to know your own feedback style and use models to plan and prepare positive developmental and personal feedback.

LEADERSHIP AGILITYOne of the biggest challenges for leaders today is managing outcomes while taking into account the varying levels of experience, motivation and skill within teams. Success depends on selecting a leadership approach that’s right for the individual, the task and its context. Learn the benefits of being an agile leader – when it’s appropriate to be directive, to coach, to support or to delegate, and how to respond to the differing needs of individuals and groups.

A business plan is a powerful tool for bringing objectives and goals into focus. It can help you discover invaluable information and identify risks and opportunities. This workshop takes you through business or departmental goal setting and introduces a few widely used planning tools. You’ll leave with a high level ‘plan on a page’ that you can build on for future success.

BUSINESS INNOVATION AND EVOLUTIONInnovation and the continual evolution of processes and products is imperative for organisations that don’t want to get left behind. It can improve the smooth running of your operations, efficiency, competitiveness, customer loyalty, and the effectiveness of your employees. Learn the importance of continual evaluation and review. And come away with tools that will help you drive innovation in your organisation.

LEADING CHANGEPeriods of change can be challenging – and sound leadership is essential to help people make positive transitions. This session focuses on the skills required to navigate people through change. Explore your role in communicating and planning change, find out how people typically respond and why, and learn tactics to help manage their responses and resistance to it.

LEADING A PERFORMANCE CULTUREStrategy matters – but not without a winning culture to drive it forward. A culture of high performance can be an incredible competitive advantage, inspiring people, driving loyalty and propelling organisations into the future. Understand what a high performance culture looks like, observe its impact on motivation and equip yourself with the tools to lead cultural change.
