To address this challenge head-on, the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) is leading an all-encompassing effort to grow participation to 60 million anglers by 2021. ASA President and CEO Mike Nussman and RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson will provide the details.

New Orleans, with its richly mottled old buildings, its sly, sophisticated – sometimes almost disreputable – air, and its Hispanic-Gallic traditions, has more the flavor of an old European capital than an American city.

The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans – Our Summit HotelImmerse Yourself in New Orleans History at our Luxury Hotel on the Edge of the French Quarter

Set within the historic 1908 Beaux Arts Maison Blanche building, The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans retains the grace and charm of an antebellum mansion.

Guests of this French Quarter hotel have the advantage of staying near popular area attractions, including Bourbon Street.

The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans offers a peaceful retreat with features including:

• Luxury guest rooms and suites blending elegant décor with modern amenities

• Live music at the Davenport Lounge

• The M bistro, offering a farm-to-table dining experience

• The Destination spa, the largest in the city, offering more than 100 treatments

The National WWII Museum – The Site of Our Thursday Evening Reception and DinnerAlthough we have a full agenda, if you plan on staying and extra day or two, please add vising this museum to your plans.

The National WWII Museum tells the story of the American Experience in the war that changed the world – why it was fought, how it was won, and what it means today – so that all generations will understand

the price of freedom and be inspired by what they learn.

Designated by Congress as the official WWII museum of the United States, the National WWII Museum is located in downtown New Orleans on a six-acre campus, where five soaring pavilions house historical exhibits, on-site restoration work, a period dinner theater, and restaurants.

THERE’S NO PLACE QUITE LIKE

Fun Fact - Official Cocktail of New OrleansIn March 2008, Louisiana state senator Edwin R. Murray (D-New Orleans) filed Senate Bill 6 designating the Sazerac as Louisiana’s official state cocktail. The bill was defeated on April 8, 2008.

After further debate, on June 23, 2008, the Louisiana Legislature agreed to proclaim the Sazerac as New Orleans’ official cocktail.
