We are really glad you are interested in learning more about Team Expansion. We can not wait to partner with you to spread the news of Jesus worldwide!

We invite you to read over this short booklet and get to know Shauna and Team Expansion. I hope you see that Team Expansion can function as an extension of you and your church. Our desire is not to replace the local church, but connect people with Jesus. Partnership with YOU is built into how we operate.

Team Expansion’s primary goal is to launch healthy church planting movements. That is done through dedicated and passionate individuals just like Shauna

who is taking the gifts God has given her and putting them to work for His kingdom. The ministry you will learn about in this booklet provide the opportunity for you to partner with us and reach the unreached together. By 2015, we hope to have started 80 church planting movements in areas where less than 5 percent of the population has heard the Gospel.

We pray that God invigorates your heart for reaching the unreached. If you have any questions, please give call or visit the Team Expansion website: www.teamexpansion.org. We are eager to encourage you in any way possible!

Doug Lucas President, Team Expansion

OUR TEAM We have more than 350 workers serving over

70 teams among the unreached in more than 40 different countries. Over half of these countries

are considered “creative access,” which do not allow traditional missionaries to enter (18 of them

engaging unreached Muslim people groups).

BRINGING NEW LIFE More than 3,600 people have been baptized into

Christ over the last four years.

MAKING DISCIPLES More than 15,300 believers attend churches

connected to our growing movement.

PLANTING CHURCHES God has enabled our global missionary force to

plant 440 churches, including 243 in the last four years alone.

BEYOND NUMBER It is impossible to count all the people who have received medical, agricultural or humanitarian aid through our workers – we praise God for what’s been done in Jesus name!

From Tsunami victims in Japan to slum dwellers in Peru; from Crimean Tatar refugees in Ukraine to house church leaders in Southeast Asia; from the poverty stricken, marginalized gypsies of Romania to the tribal Muslims of Ghana;  we know God loves them and wants them to know His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Will you join me to reach them for His sake?

Ministry Locations

Throughout the history of Team Expansion, the purpose has remained the same – to work together in teams in order to establish viable, multiplying communities of believers in some of the least reached places on the earth. Simply put, we are church planters.

You may ask, “What does a church planter look like?” Every church planter looks different depending on the location, culture, and spiritual readiness of the people. Some operate a physical therapy center for kids. Others teach English, work on farms, in hospitals, or with business leaders. Still others support those works through their gifts of time, talent, and support. We need them all to finish the job Christ left to us.

Are you a believer who deeply desires to do something significant with your life? If so, then church planting could be a natural expression of your faith. We are constantly looking for families

and individuals who long to use their gifts and blessings to touch lives around the world. Will you partner with us today?

Since the world is unevenly matched in exposure to the gospel message, Team Expansion is driven to take that message to those who have never heard. Every tribe, tongue, and nation deserve to know the unsurpassing peace that flows freely from Christ.

As Americans, God has tremendously blessed our families, churches, and communities. With those blessings and freedom comes responsibility. Pray with us as we seek to build up the Kingdom. Celebrate every chance we are given to impact the nations. Realize that God has created you and blessed you for such a time as this.

Will you join the team to work together among the unreached in the world?

our passion

Team Expansion is multiplying disciples and churches among the unreached.

Indian Creek Christian Church

Prayer Shelter

Prayer Points

• Pray for The Gathering, the church plant that Team Expan-

sion started in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

• Praise God for the generosity consistently shown by church-

es to International Services.

“And He said to them, ‘Follow Me and I will make

you shers of men.’” Matthew 4:19

I ndian Creek Christian Church in Indianapolis, In. is the home church

to several Team Expansion workers and is consistently generous

with the International Services staff.

Indian Creek was extremely active in the relief and reconstruction in

the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, and is now sup-

porting The Gathering, a church that Team Expansion planted and

staffs in the area affected by the hurricane.

When the missions minister was asked where on Emerald Hills’ cam-

pus he wanted their prayer shelter to go, his response was, “As close

to the lake as possible – I want pray and fi sh at the same time.”

communications ministry

“As a Team Expansion missionary at International Services, I live in Louisville, KY, and serve the organization in two distinct ways both in the United States and abroad.

At least once a year, I try to spend time overseas to work with fielded missionaries to develop culturally appropriate multimedia products. I work to serve the needs of each Team Expansion ministry in the form of photography, printed materials, videos, web tools, etc. Trips to our fields also helps the team know how better to communicate the need for more harvest workers, challenges our field teams face, and the exciting ways God is working.

The Communications Team is responsible for developing all recruiting and promotional material, convention projects, an annual tell magazine, training new recruits, assisting missionaries with various projects for partnership development, and so much more.

Why is this ministry important?Think about all of the ways people communicate today. Internet and all its facets, email, postal mail, magazines, film, photography, paintings, music, newspapers and the list goes on and on. Media is everywhere. Having a Communications Team at Team Expansion gives our missionaries a way to express what God is doing on their fields, how much more there is to do, and ways His people can get involved and be a part of it, not to mention, a way to recruit more missionaries to go where there are none. The possibilities are endless for media and missions to coincide.

Fielded missionaries are at a huge disadvantage in today’s society. Many can’t keep up with current trends, software, or equipment to create quality projects. Some missionaries have the added disadvantage of security risk due to the dangerous places they live, which can limit their communication. As a result of these difficulties, financial support and sometimes the ministries themselves will suffer. The truth is, a quality project prompts people to respond to God’s calling whether that’s to pursue a relationship with Jesus, become a missionary, or give financially in support of a particular ministry.

This is why Communications is important: There are nearly 7,000 unreached people groups around the world. Our team communicates the need for more harvest workers, and then we train, equip, and assist those workers in reaching them. As a partner, you become a piece of this global work!

I look forward to partnering with you so that together we can use the gifts God has blessed me with to help Team Expansion’s more than 350 missionaries worldwide.”

partnershipWays to partner:

Will you partner with Shauna?

As with all things, effective and powerful prayer warriors standing beside us are vital to the success of any ministry. Team Expansion focuses greatly on prayer. It is so important to us that we consider it the first step in developing ministry and is the foundation on which everything else is built. Join the ministry through in prayer!

Team Expansion has no paid employees besides the receptionist. Everyone who joins the organization is required to develop financial ministry partnerships to cover all of their personal and ministry expenses. I cannot serve with Team Expansion without financial support. Give what you can. Every bit helps! Join the ministry through financial partnership!

To become a true Partner, I expect your spiritual, emotional, and financial accountability. You are vital to this ministry, and to God. All that said, know that I care for you and want to be an active part of your life and ministry. What can I do for you? How can I pray for you? We’re in this together.
