2016 PSAT Score Interpretation Workshop

Thursday, January 14th

What is the PSAT/NMSQT?

● PSAT - Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test

(SAT)/National Merit Qualifying Test

● Practice SAT Test

● Offered officially only once a year in October

What is the NMSQT?

National Merit Qualifying Test (NMSQT)

● National standardized test administered by the CollegeBoard and

cosponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation in the US.

● Approximately 3.5 million students take the test each year.

● Student responses and scores determine their eligibility for the National

Merit Scholarship Program. Students will qualifying scores are notified of

their eligibility status in the fall of the senior year.
