Spend analytics and developing or deploying a self service portal topped this list. This list of initiatives is very focused on new software solutions; it’s interesting to consider how that plays against the obstacles listed on previously.
We asked a write-in question: “what are the most critical changes you wish to see in your P2P environment?”
This was not a company level question about initiatives, but rather a question to the individual about their desired changes. As
evidenced by the responses, P2P professionals are mostly looking for more efficiency and better data! Companies want new soft-
ware and individuals still want more efficiency and less manual labor.

We asked:
Do you prefer one bundled suite solution, a mix of best-of-breed products or a combination of both concepts? We did not know what to expect from this question, but we can clearly see that despite the dream of a single bundled solution that can do “every-thing” – P2P professionals are still overwhelmingly expecting and accepting of using a combination of best-of-breed solutions. Service providers need to take note and build products that work together!
