ELK RIVER FALLSItrsquos an 85 foot waterfall near the town of Elk Park Travel down 19E towards Tennessee turn right on Old Mill Road then left on Elk River Road Travel several miles and the road dead-ends into the falls Swim at your own risk

GLEN BURNEY FALLSIt is in the Town of Blowing Rock just two blocks from Main Street Laurel Lane parking area sits across from Broyhill Park The trail descends steeply through Johnrsquos River Gorge and is not recommended for beginners Plan for an hour hike and the trip back will take considerably longer Strenuous hike

LINVILLE FALLSA series of two falls upper is 12 feet and lower is 90 feet and plunges into the 2000 foot deep Linville gorge The parking area is located at milepost 316 on the Blue Ridge Parkway There are numerous hiking trails to choose from and the trailhead is located at the Visitors Center
